I wonder how sprint season will turn out. I suspect he needs to drop some weight and bulk for the speed of MLS. Not sure if he can/wants to, etc. UK leagues are less speed and more strength. Don't know yet if he still has the speed.

Yeah, I liked him going forward. With the big lead it was hard to tell about the defense. But he seemed to be engaged and focused. 👍

Natural rivals of Atlanta here in Orlando. But I have to say I like the badge and color scheme. Maybe could use a splash of more contrasting color, but overall a pleasing look.

Yeah. I was actually impressed when he got the early yellow card that last game he started. I thought that would be a problem but he played really smart after that. Still effective but did not get in more trouble. He is very mature for his age.

I like Gerbet and Atuesta. But neither one can play the defense we need. Wilder os probably too old and slow. It needs to be Otavio. He makes some mistakes, but he also is an enforcer in the middle. We won't give up four and five goals.

I mean for all of the individual poor play, the tactics are just not sound overall. We keep getting killed in the midfield. Maybe we have the wrong midfielders but we have a lot to choose from. Heck, put Angulo in the middle, he at least is pesky.

I will allow youth allowances for someone giving lots of effort. But we were supposed to have another veteran CB that we never signed. Iago should be on OCB still learning anyway. He is out best 3rd CB. That is not his fault either.

He is, but he is used to being a leader. And he is young for a CB. And been put in terrible positions all season. And he works. I just have far less patience for a Brekalo that is supposed be a seasoned veteran and is often out of position and often seems lazy and doesn't even care.

B Ojeda was a little better than Atuesta and Gerbet defensively so that was sometimes workable. Starting Gerbet and Atuesta together is a crime. Yes, Iago had a bad game tonight and I am not a fan of Brekalo at all either. But the flaws are structural at this point.

The system is fundamentally flawed. Two CBs are constantly asked to defend the entire pitch. None of our CBs have done well this year. The defense fell apart last year when CDM Araujo "injured" his back. That position has not been filled because Otavio and Wilder are sitting on the bench.

Bad game tonight. He has had some good ones. He is still a kid at thermostat difficult position to play on the pitch. And he is playing on a team with a coach that insists on sending his two outside backs up the pitch to attack and plays two CMs that also both attack.

Yeah. I agree with you there. But that weird ability seems to have failed him. I think he used to understand that what was good for his "customers" was good for him. He either no longer understands that, or maybe he knows he will die very soon so he is just trying to get all he can right now.

He has been incredible, but Ojeda seems to be getting his motor back. With Eliis, Dike, Pasali, and Spicer I think we will still score goals. I worry more about the defense. Egads, good teams can carve us up back there. But I agree, we need to win most of them from here on out. Sigh.

Having a weak defense, we need at least one of Otavio and Wilder starting every game. If we dont see Iago and Otavio a lot more the rest of the season, I will picketing the training ground with #JefeOut signs! Iago may not be it, but we know for sure Brekalo is not it.

Columbus had a huge summer window and turned over a lot of players. They got some good ones, I think they have some good games from here on out. However, that was a mess by OC. The defense continues to be a mess, especially with Perle insisting on starting two offensive mids.
