This line is always a bit blurry and ultimately it comes down to personal opinion. My own rule of thumb on this matter boils down to if details or elements would lose their definition/impact if it had to be scaled - I'd draw the line somewhere around the image on the right for my own art

I've seen some of it through vinesauce, as well as people who got addicted to house party before balatro took over the deck builder space. Talking about grid-related combat also reminded me of a few other rpgs I've seen with it - it's a space with a lot of potential for interesting design
