One thing he did not lie about, he drained the swamp and tuned into cesspool.

the real people behind this are the billionaires that pull puppet trumps strings. I doubt getting rid of trump will solve thins as there if fat too much money behind the GOP. No real change will come about for decades, maybe generations. Our corrupt Supreme Court will help to ensure that.

I served in the US Navy as enlisted, retiring in 1987 after 21 years. I attended a local CC where I took an English comp course. After the first writing assignment, the instructor turned it into a remedial class as very few students turned in acceptable work.

I am retired military and retired federal civil service. Years back, all the data for active and retired employees of both military and civil service was acquired by hackers. This included info provided to get a security clearance.

We live in western Washington and are currently in Whistler, BC. We have been coming here for years as it much better than most of the states. So far, we have never had any issues at the boarder when returning home. We always cross east of the crossings closest to Vancouver. We are white.

Rats, we missed it as we are in Whistler, BC for the week. We live about 8 miles from epicenter.

Never too much garlic. I have a jar of habanero pickled garlic at home. It will be next week before I dig into it.

Without a super majority in the house and senate, nothing will change as you will not be able override the veto of every piece of legislation dictator trump sees.

MLB players association is currently in negotiations for a new contract. It should be a non-negotiable clause forbidding any player from participating in a game held in any national park, monument or other state or federally protected area.

The decisions made decades ago set the stage for this. When I was deployed to the Indian Ocean in 1975 on the USS Reeves CG-24 with 3 frigates, our resupply came from the gulf bases. Diego Garcia was closer to our op area but did not lave the logistics for fleet resupply.

I spent 21 years in US Navy followed by 20 years in a naval shipyard. After all those years I tend to speak like I am in a noisy environment.

The frozen and fresh produce came on Oilers equipped with deck mounted reefers. They lost power and we had a lack of some items. Diego Garcia was closer but did not have the inferstructure to support fleet resupply. The cooks got creative with only corn beef for meet.

010

Douglas Merson @flameryder.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

The issue of having resupply come out of the gulf predates this administration. I was stationed on the USS Reeves CG-24 in 1975. We deployed from Pearl Harbor to the Indian Ocean with 3cfrigates. All our supplies reached from the bases in the gulf.

Two years ago I had Costco flooring order coming from North Carolina. Was informed it was in Renton, WA and would be delivered the next day. I had to leave the fair we were at to meet the delivery. At 5PM was notified it was in Salt Lake City. I was a bit pissed about that.
