I don't know if that counts, but as a child I bought the novelization of Leisure Suit Larry 7 from a thrift store. A couple of years later I also played the game after I found it in a gaming magazine. Might be the first (kind of) adult game I played. Or at least I cannot think of an earlier example.

What I often do with an artwork that I really like is I analyze it, in part to appreciate every little detail, but also to learn from it and improve my own artwork (I try at least. Not sure, if it helps). I do it quietly since I'm still a beginner in search of their own style.

I have been repeating "I would like" for a couple of minutes like a spell with different thoughts and feelings and it made me aware of those things again. It's freeing and weirdly therapeutic to verbalise to yourself what you desire, to confirm that, yes, you are a person and you have wants.

When coming out of survival mode, at some point you start to actually want things again and it feels terrifying because you hid and minimized yourself for so long. The phrase "I would like" feels so oppressive on my lips, an imposition on people I feel grateful toward for simply keeping me around.

My dad loves those old Dracula games from the '00s (I don't know why. They're just shitty Myst clones). We played through the games recently and I got weirdly invested into Dracula 3. The story is kind of interesting, the puzzles are fun (but pretty obtuse) and it got a sort of Dan Brown vibe to it

I feel that statement so much. I pretty much wasted two years in therapy to be in a questioning limbo, even though I was sure I wanted HRT. It got so bad, that when I was finally asking if I could get a letter for the endocrinologist my therapist was suprised about it.
