Imma need a bucket of popcorn for this chapter

A picture of a page with "But Seward is hardly Stoker's mouthpiece in Dracula; in fact he is a narrow-minded, bumbling character whose inability to put aside his scientific prejudices repeatedly precipitates disaster." In pink highlighter.

Next to it is "Holy shit" written in blue pen as a note.

Saw this in Southampton Waterstones and just had to get my hands on it! I already have a beautiful copy of Stoker's short stories, so this is a copy I can highlight to pieces! It also has the newly discovered Gibbet Hill 🦇

A small white penguin archive book with red text. "Bram Stoker. The Burial of the Rats."

A red book with silver holographic decoration detailing numerous rats. In the middle it says "The Burial of the Rats & other tales of the macabre by Bram Stoker. Edited by Xavier Aldana Reyes."

This book is published by The British Library.

Even in Arcadia. What an album.

Finally reading through this number! Surprisingly easy to digest and would recommend for anyone casting their eye towards minor characters in fiction! Definitely fueling my inspiration for my next PhD chapter 🦇

A title page from a book that says "JEREMY ROSEN. minor CHARACTERS HAVE their DAY. Genre and the Contemporary Literary Marketplace.

From analysing motherhood, to a token from my own mother, needless to say Shaun is scared to turn around

My partner and I went on a lovely little long weekend to Glenshee. Gave me real 'Monarch of the Glen' vibes. And driving through the Cairngorms on a foggy evening didn't help my murder mystery craving either...

Rolling fields and hills in the Scottish countryside with blue, slightly cloudy skies

A field and hill pictured through barren trees. There's blue, clear skies

"God gives his hardest battles to his silliest sausages" in bold black text hovering above a rotund, brown bear. A speech bubble is coming from the bear stating " I am so silly".
