Essek and Caleb at Jester and Fjord's wedding party, k-i-s-s-i-n-g #CriticalRole #CriticalRoleFanArt #CriticalRoleSpoilers #shadowgast

digital fan art of Essek and Caleb from Critical Role, at Jester and Fjord's wedding, sitting on a bench and kissing.
Essek is a young-looking slender dark elf with light lavender skin and shoulder-length white hair, which is artfully curled and pinned back. Caleb is a light-skinned thin human in his early forties, with auburn chin-length wavy hair and a full beard.
they are both dressed in formal clothing, cream and light pink to match the colors Jester had picked for her wedding. Essek is wearing a silk shirt with bishop sleeves and a straight neckline that exposes his neck and a wide pearl choker; he also has slacks on, short enough to reveal his boots with metal toe-tips, as well as a coat made of thick matte fabric, with wide geometric shoulders and layered hanging sleeves. it is caught at the waist with a wide sash, the coat's two floral frog closures open. Caleb is dressed in form-fitting pants tucked into white boots, a leather strap around one of his thighs. he has a long-sleeved shirt on under a light pink sleeveless coat made of delicate floral brocade. there is a large white flower tucked behind his ear. both of them are wearing a bit of make-up: Essek has white lipstick on his bottom lip, and Caleb's eyes are accentuated with fiery red eyeshadow.
they are sitting on a bench outside, leaning into each other, Essek placing a kiss on the corner of Caleb's mouth. Essek's left hand is guiding Caleb's chin towards him with a delicate finger, while his right is resting in Caleb's left. there is a flowering branch above them, soft pink petals lying on the white cobbled stones beneath their feet. the ocean is visible behind them, the setting sun shining right behind the couple's heads, illuminating them in warm orange glow.

i had to sketch him real quick before bed or it would have been a no sleep kind of scenario for me #CriticalRole #CriticalRoleFanArt #CriticalRoleSpoilers #EssekThelyss

digital head shot sketch of Essek Thelyss from Critical Role, a semi-realistic redraw of the animated series screen shot that was posted in the recent Entertainment Weekly article. the screenshot itself is pasted to the right of the sketch as a point of reference. Essek is depicted as a young-looking dark elf with short hair, with longer wavy bangs swept to one side. his pointy ears are decorated with ear caps, and he is looking intently at something in front of him and a bit down, with a tired but intrigued and analytical look.

an old #shadowgast comic i did during the eiselcross arc! [ #criticalrolefanart | #fanart | #art ]

A comic that shows Essek watching Caleb and Jester in the distance. Jester is proselytizing to Caleb's cat, and Caleb is listening. By his expressions, it is clear that Essek is fond of both of them, but has feelings for Caleb. Caleb sends a loving look at Jester, who doesn't seem to notice. The last panel is Essek's bittersweet smile as he assumes his own feelings are unrequited.

@saturdaysky.bsky.social commissioned me with an absolutely outstanding #shadowgast prompt; namely, 'Caleb helping Essek put on a fancy outfit'. i'm sure you can imagine how ecstatic i was about it, and i'm very excited to post this bad boy now! thank you for commissioning me 💜

digital fanart of Essek Thelyss and Caleb Widogast. Essek is a drow with dark purple skin and short white hair; Caleb is a taller light-skinned human with long red hair and a beard. they are standing with their backs to the viewer in front of a large mirror; Caleb is behind Essek, in the middle of helping him do up the hook closure in the back of Essek's white shirt. it is open all the way down to Essek's tailbone, exposing Essek's naked back and a delicate necklace consisting of several interconnected chains with one pendant trailing down his spine. the closure of the shirt is decorated to resemble a vertebral column; Caleb is holding one part of the open collar with his right hand, while the left is positioned down low, with the index finger slipping underneath one of the panels of the shirt. Essek is looking at himself in the mirror with a slight self-satisfied smile, fixing the cuffs of his shirt; the reflection of Caleb's face is carefully watching Essek in the mirror.
