Just got back from opening weekend of the VA Ren Faire -- I had the best weekend of sales ever. I sold multiple art pieces and many cups. The mimics did well, and my heart is so full right now. Stress and imposter syndrome will come for me eventually, but right now all I have is exhaustion and joy.

Some more lovelies from the last kiln! These were an exercise in throwing thin -- the goal was 5" x 3", 12 oz of clay. It was a fun exercise and helped me really get a feel for how thin the clay can get under my hands before I lose it. Also, my studio has nothing pretty *and* useful for scale in it.

Wheel-thrown cone 10 stoneware carved vase, glazed in blue rutile over warm brown clay, and about 11" tall. There are oval gestural carvings of leaves around the top 4" that pierce through the walls of the vase, and long white driplines extend from the bottom of each leaf where the carvings have channeled the molten glaze's flow.
