FitzThrawn @fitzthrawn.bsky.social · 22/06/2026First contact between Earth and the Mimbari in Babylon 5. The Mimbari tradition of approaching with gun ports open to show respect backfires terribly for both sides. 030

FitzThrawn @fitzthrawn.bsky.social · 08/12/2025Schlock Mercenary's seventy maxims for maximally effective mercenaries. It's an in and out of universe guide to life as a mercenary (and mercenary adjacent jobs like the military or politics). It's like seven habits, but funny. 010
FitzThrawn @fitzthrawn.bsky.social · 27/11/2025All the recurring characters in DS9 were the best of the shows. Nog is a close close second, but Garak still stands out. 020
FitzThrawn @fitzthrawn.bsky.social · 24/11/2025This was played with a little when Cardassian literature was discussed on DS9 with 'The Neverending Sacrifice' as the example, where it was the story of seven generations of a family living the same life of service to the government. Gerak expressed it was the best of his people's literature. 110
FitzThrawn @fitzthrawn.bsky.social · 10/11/2025Season 6 of The Venture Brothers with the Monarch and 21 acting as the 'heroes' Blue Morpho and Kano. They spent the season defeating/killing all of the villains who had a higher arching right to Rusty, which the Monarch can not at any level accept, because his hate for Rusty knows no equal. 020
FitzThrawn @fitzthrawn.bsky.social · 27/10/2025Pandora's Star and Judas Unchained by Peter F Hamilton. And the duologies sequel series. Amazing works with world building that drills deeply into the effect having portal tech has on a star fairing society and what happens when they have to figure out how to make starships. 020
FitzThrawn @fitzthrawn.bsky.social · 18/08/2025So not quite a body, but the way the Endless from the Sandman are points of view on their purpose. Delight vs Delerium, the first and second Dispairs, Morpheus vs Dream. 010
