Fishing line nippers are pretty cheap. I’m on a stream before I notice they’re dull. This is how I resharpen them. Diamond hook hone, hold them closed, rub them back and forth. #FlyFishing

Last weekend I went #camping and #flyfishing in the #GSMNP. The first photo is a mayfly. Second is a Southern Appalachian Brook Trout. 3rd is the biggest fish of the trip, rainbow. 4th is the scenery along one of the many creeks.

On Saturday nights we get together with family and play games and have dinner. Last night we played a card game, darts and dominoes (Mexican Train). Dinner we had spaghetti and meatballs and a salad. Lots of snacks, pretzels, doughnuts and cookies.

This book was loaned to me to read and such a good read it is. It has fly fishing and hunting from the 19th century to the early 20th century. Very well written and is hard to put down. I don’t know why it isn’t on the outdoorsman reading list. #flyfishing #hunting

Sunday we gathered at a friend’s house to tye flies, Kate worked on an art project. She also supplied us with brownies, muffins and a chikin casserole. Brandon tyed PMDs and I am learning to tye Klinkhamers. Wonderful day with friends.
