Art piece of a chibi version of my character Isokel, in a sitting position with one leg up and the other stretched out. His wings frame the background while he holds a small frown, his usual visage.

Chibi Art of my character Laurence, smiling and showing off his gold tooth while his hands are shaped into a heart, while one leg is up showing off his floral shoes.

You've seen him (and drawn him) before, but have a Laurence again His mundane fact is he loves all kinds of tea, but specifically earl gray with a hint of lavender, with very light vanilla cream and a dash of sugar. He smells like it, all the time, because he drinks it more than water.

It was more like last lines that were very unedited, but it was a scenario in which my boy Isokel actually fought back against his father as his older self. Something that doesn't happen really in my canon.

Upon the coup that took place that resulted in the death of Isokel's father and an attempt on Isokel's life, Alheran at the time also met an untimely end. On his last dying breath, he begged for Isokel with his newfound power to bring him back. Isokel would oblige, unable to imagine life without him

Naturally, how I did it with Laurence, I will also take the time here to explain Alheran. He also belongs to @livingsnailures.bsky.social! Alheran is Isokel's mate/lover, and currently contains the other half of Isokel's soul. They share a connection in mind/body/soul unlike any other pair. (1/2)

The other pieces of his bio can be found here in image form! (2/2) Again, his bio is much longer than Laurence's, despite also being shorthanded of his longer story. The template had much more to it than Laurence's, that's for sure.

This bio piece is just text, but once again will not fit within the alt text here. It explains more of Isokel's childhood, his meeting of his mate Alheran, and his ascension to the throne.

This bio piece explains Alheran Helvig, Isokel's chosen mate and personal knight.

This bio piece explains Isokel's relations with Laurence Taylor, and how they came to be close and political allies.

☀️ Laurence ☀️ @firstviicar.bsky.social · 05/11/2024

His bio link can be found here: docs.google.com/document/d/1... Due to how long his bio is (less shorthanded than Laurence's due to the template I used, whoops) his bio images will be shared in this post and the one below. (1/2 of bio)

The introduction slide to Isokel and his rule, and quick facts underneath an image of his appearance. The text is once again too big to fit in here.

This bio page describes his personality, strengths, weaknesses, Traits (negative and positive), and more fast facts including his MBTI personality and D&D alignment.

This bio page describes his physical appearance and physical details in text-form.

This bio page is the beginning of two pages that detail Isokel's backstory. This piece starts at the beginning of his childhood and the trials he would overcome within it.

☀️ Laurence ☀️ @firstviicar.bsky.social · 05/11/2024

Isokel is known as the God of Death, and governs over known celestial bodies. His magic for many years, was sealed behind wards put in place by his Mother, under the pretenses that Isokel's abilities from a very young age were 'unnatural.' He rules Kaldvinder with a sharp tongue and quick wit.

110

☀️ Laurence ☀️ @firstviicar.bsky.social · 05/11/2024

For my second main OC, and the last of this thread for now, we have Isokel Kallestad! The current King of the kingdom of Kaldvinder, home of one of the two sects of Dragonkin: The Kaldvindish. Isokel, also known as The King of Thorns, is the second half of the two Gods that maintain Life and Death

Isokel piece by Sollonight!

Text on the bottom of the piece is from a writing I did of Isokel, reading: "that day, he was no longer a prince, but a king. A snarling, bloodied thing, but a king."

☀️ Laurence ☀️ @firstviicar.bsky.social · 05/11/2024

A fun tidbit I will add as well is Laurence's husband, Sirius Ravenward! He is an oc that belongs to my partner: @livingsnailures.bsky.social He is the Vampiric Noble of the Ravensburough estate and surrounding city/territory who saved Laurence's life and has remained by his side since.

His shorthand bio (with TW's included) can be found here: docs.google.com/document/d/1... Below I will also be sharing the bio as images with their text in the alt text, as the document does not format well on mobile devices! (Also not showing the piece of his bio in regards to his connections.)

Bio title: Laurence Severus Taylor

Main body text: The current reigning Emperor of Systaria, Laurence was not always who he claimed to be. A tortured soul-- filled with regret. With his tumultuous ascension, came an era of new beginnings and confusion; and birthed a new age of change for the Empire of Systaria. In his reign, he faced many wars, usurped Gods, and challenged fate, all while seeking the best for his people. Laurence is a paragon of kindness, and continues to be until his death, hundreds of years into his reign. This is the tale of the 124th Emperor of the Taylor line

Main text body:
A man of many words and many more actions, Laurence Taylor is a jack of many trades. Appearing as a never tiring socialite, the current Emperor shines as brightly as the sun he presides over. Despite being primarily self taught in speaking and language, he speaks effortlessly about all things, and finds himself often enthralling nobles and common folk alike with his prowess of social interaction. In these circumstances, one would never know the pain of his birth, and his melancholic and traumatic upbringing. Some may say he is perhaps the best spoken of the nobles-- and yet Laurence himself would softly laugh, and tell you he’s sub par. Always unendingly modest.

Despite his modest feelings, and often happy demeanor-- Laurence Taylor is a very private man. ‘Loose lips sink ships’ is something often taken to heart. Thus, he is often quiet about his private life, despite how often the nobles speak of his former dealings as a ‘servant’ to Sir Cavalier. Also despite his shining social self among the crowds, he is a melancholic man behind closed doors. Haunted by his childhood, and the pain it brings him in his private and silent relationships. The man has walked through hell, and come out of it a shell of what he once could have been. A shattered porcelain doll among a sea of fine china and ball gowns.

In public he holds himself in ‘respect’, as a beacon of light to others like him. Those originally left in the shadows to rot in humanities frayed, decaying edges. He takes his position as Emperor in what appears to be a stride. He is there to be their hope, and nothing else. Yet… what brings him hope? Not even he knows most days. Left to silently suffer behind closed doors. One can only wonder what goes on in his mind, as he silently sips earl gray and looks toward the setting sun as the day draws to a close. He will save everyone, but who will save him?

Main Text description:

This piece goes deep into his backstory and lore, mostly in relation to his background of servitude and abuse at the hands of the man who had taken him from his mother. Alt text will not let me fit all of the text into this description, so I will take this time to say PLEASE heed the TW's in the image in regards to SA/Slavery

Main text description:

Once again, I cannot fit all of the text into this particular box, but it is a longer description in regard to his background after his escape from his captor, and his journey to make it into the arms of his future husband, Sirius Ravenward. From there, it explains his journey in shorthand form of the prophecy that foretells his ascension to the throne of Systaria, and how he would come to be the current reigning Emperor.

☀️ Laurence ☀️ @firstviicar.bsky.social · 05/11/2024

Laurence, while primarily heralded as the God of the Sun and a patron God, Laurence's power extends much further than this. Rather, his control is not over a simple celestial body, but he also retains the flow of Life itself. One half of the two God's that maintain the balance of Life and Death.

120

☀️ Laurence ☀️ @firstviicar.bsky.social · 05/11/2024

First off, we have Laurence Severus Taylor! The current reigning Emperor of the Empire of Systaria, heralded as the largest human empire of the known world, and the birthplace of human magic. Laurence is known as the current 'reincarnation' of their long-dead patron God, Cyreus.
