Can someone please explain to me how Greenland is necessary for the US to counter Russia, but preventing Russia from taking over more and more of Ukraine is not? Secondarily, if it is necessary for the US to own Greenland to maintain our national security, why not Canada? Why not all of Europe?

Please don't. The government should be doing what is right for the people, not just what sounds good. Lotteries are a voluntary tax on the poor. Any revenue will be offset by reduced taxes on the wealthy. Want to increase income? Institute wealth taxes just like we have property taxes.
