1989 freshman year dorm lunch lady made buffalo bacon jalapeño Mac & 3 cheese. 6x per year on football home game Saturdays. Because it was the “slowest” dorm cafeteria lunches of the yr w all kids at game/tailgating. Extra 400 kids would still wait in line for it !!

My friend was in Intergov Affairs in Chicago under Daley in 90s. Politicians, govt, corps all inflate jobs numbers. He said they count all the jobs to manufacture or deliver the construction materials. Architects office may have 70 people ( count em!). City Permit & inspectors office 26 people. Etc

My wife best friend (Iranian) married great Saudi guy. Both play watch golf He thinks LIV players & their agents had subtle racism in decision to join; that they were gonna rule the league over PIF. In same breath tho, players gave too much credit to mgmt as shrewd businessmen. Players were wrong.

I agree. Im only a fire chief. But I remember my former professional life, how excited the mgmt was about splurging $$ in 1996 on IBM AS400. It helped them alot but not us much. They reduced bonuses by 50% to pay for it. AI feels same scam: too much pain just to help me plan a trip to Europe
