The state of physical games is dire. I hope they continue to exist in some way for years to come. Every other industry already figured this out. But preordering more stuff definitely isn't the way to solve anything, especially when it's a storefront that's telling you to do it. #PhysicalGames

Once again staring at my PS5 collection that I mostly accumulated over the last 5 years. Probably like 80 games, some of which I preordered. I think Sony already showed how much they care about that when they decided to kill their physical games in the first place. #PhysicalGames

Like they and everyone else already know the state games launch in a lot of the time these days. We're seeing it right now with the new Kingdom Hearts ports. But we should all go out and preorder stuff even harder or somehow the state of physical games is going to get even worse. #PhysicalGames

Using the very real problem surrounding physical games these days to push for more preorders when you're one of the places facilitating those preorders seems like a conflict of interest to me. They say they don't want to create FOMO but they knew what they were doing here. #PhysicalGames

We had a Wii at one point, but we only used it for Wii Sports. I had a Deadliest Catch game I maybe fired up once but the motion controls weren't for me. If I had known at the time it could play GameCube games I might have used it more but we already had a 360. Then it got killed by lightning.

I probably wasn't going to get a PS6 right away anyways. But after this year, Playstation's at Xbox in 2013 levels in my eyes. I don't know what would even make me want to buy a Playstation product again at this point. The Yotei DLC couldn't even do it.

Of course there've been other games since, including its own sequel, that I've liked more but that first time was special. I don't think there's ever been another game that's captured me in quite the same way and I definitely wouldn't be the gamer I am today without it.

It's gotta be the original Mass Effect. I had played other games before sure, but the moment I first saw it in a copy of the Official Xbox Magazine I followed everything I could find about it. The first game that showed me games could tell a story like that, in a universe like that.

I'll turn the difficulty down if I feel like I'm hitting my head against the wall though. One of the reasons I turned the difficulty down for the lightsaber duels in Fallen Order.

If there's an achievement for a hard playthrough I'll at least give it a try most of the time. And as far as some games go like Rage or Dragon Age Inquisition I don't even think it's that big of a jump above normal.

The overall PS5 ratio is somewhere around 80% but that includes DLCs and games with no physical release. Capcom and Take Two say their overall business is 90% digital but again that includes Xbox and PC. And for Sony as a publisher it's nowhere near 90%, we know that from the Insomniac breach.
