Finished - Re:Zero season 4 White Fox did it again. And that ending was just evil. Glad they're committed to adapting more eventually but that's gonna be a heck of a wait #rezero

Finished - My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked This was absolutely adorable and so full of sugar and sweetness that it's a miracle I didn't get a cavity. It also had the cutest ending animation as well. #mystepmotherandstepsistersarentwicked

Finished - Grow Up Show It was no Kaleido Star, but it definitely was still a fun series overall, especially when the focus was on the comedy. I may be a little biased because of the circus theme and the fact that Akira Sekine was there but I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Finished - Draw This, Then Die Easily the best series of the season. Hands down. As a creative person, this absolutely crushed me each week. It perfectly captured the struggles and the pain and the moments in between where things just come together so perfectly. #drawthisthendie

Tensura 24 They totally threw that in for the novel readers and I am not complaining at all. #tensura

Finished - Though I Am an Inept Villainess This was so close to being in my top 3. Manaka Iwami was such a delight as Reirin (and even more hilarious as she actually voices a villain in the ogre's bride). I'm so glad we're getting a second season which will allow Reirin to unleash even more chaos.

Finished - The Duke's Son Claims He Won't Love Me, Yet Showers Me with Adoration This was so sugary sweet and sappy, but I definitely appreciate it when done right. Far cuter than expected and the op/ed really were a highlight.

Finished - Nanoha Exceeds Nanoha in 2026??? That definitely caught me off guard but it was nice mix of new and old cast and while I wish the focus could remain on Nanoha and Fate, this was still a fun time.

Finished - Sayonara Lara Was it perfect? No. But as someone whose family has always looked down on me due to not being married, it was a bit refreshing. Lara's life was literally ruined in the pursuit of trying to find "true love" the first time around.

I can't believe that they literally ended the season with a bang. That's gonna be one heck of a cliffhanger for the anime onlies. Also a huge shout to to Bones for being one of the few studios that could draw horses these last two season. Truly a miracle. #yominotsugai #daemonsoftheshadowrealm

#Jaadugar was a very pleasant surprise and another series that was easily in my top three for the season. Akira Sekine and Ami Koshimizu were both amazing (as was the rest of the cast) and I'm going to miss this one quite a bit too

Honestly most of the horses in this series are a little chunky but you can tell they're horses. However, every now and then they throw in an extra special one #badlydrawnhorses

A screencap from the series Jaadugar featuring two horses grazing in a pasture. The horse on the left is pretty normal but the horse on the right has a very short back, hardly any body, and looks like it has a goiter on it's neck

I'm really gonna miss this one. It was truly in the top 3 for me for this season and was a highlight of Saturdays. I'll miss the adventures of Winged Uncle and his family of cats. #thecatandthedragon

I'm not really into the whole vtuber thing but #bandori is always a wild ride. It definitely wasn't as unhinged as Ave Mujica, but it was pretty close at times. Definitely entertaining though and I loved all the band members meming on their characters at every opportunity.

For a DEEN series, this was surprisingly enjoyable. The anime had some odd pacing choices and definitely threw me thru the wringer each week with the terrible horses, but it still managed to be a fun time (despite the horses). Kinda sad it was only 9 eps but it worked. #victoriaofmanyfaces

the reins aren't even attached to the bit!!!! #badlydrawnhorses

A screencap from the series Victoria of Many Faces that features a man on a horse talking to a woman. The horse has too wide of a chest, the usual soulless eyes, and looks like a brick. Additionally, the reins of the bridle are attached to the neck latch and not the bit. The saddle is also a shapeless blob and has the western type pommel horn which makes so little sense in this setting.

Why does it look like they were trying to draw an anteater's snout #badlydrawnhorses

Ok I didn't say anything about the horses in the first few eps because it was clearly a stylistic choice and they looked like actual horses, if a bit chibified. But then they treated me to this #badlydrawnhorses entry

A screenshot from Jaadugar featuring Fatima and Shira and a horse like creature. It has next to no neck, a really huge face, and it's legs are all wonky

Every day this season treating me to #badlydrawnhorses

A screenshot from A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even: How I Crushed My Homeland with My Mighty Grimoires that features a horse drawn wagon surrounded by bandits. The horse has dropped fetlocks on all four legs and has no business pulling a wagon and it's face is very squished

000

firefly24 @firefly24.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

This one actually makes me so annoyed because the close up of the hooves and then the face was actually really decent. But then it zoomed out to this. #badlydrawnhorses

A screenshot from Grow Up Show featuring the two leaders of the rival circuses and a horse. The horse's neck is far too thin, the shoulders are completely over muscled, and the back is too short/hindquarters too thin and high.

SO CLOSE. Like if the head wasn't all squished, this would have actually been a really dang good horse #badlydrawnhorses

I'm crying, I know it's mostly just a weird angle but they absolutely did not want to draw those horses's heads #badlydrawnhorses

I know I'm probably the only one who was looking at the #badlydrawnhorses in this scene

firefly24 @firefly24.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

The horses are a little wonky but far from the worst of this season's #badlydrawnhorses I do got to give the staff props for actually giving them decent tack that would actually attach them to the carriages tho
