Night has fallen and Freyr is still chillaxing in my living room. My doors have been opened and he hasn't even tried to leave. The most he's done was cry for some dry food. Whatever happened, he's suddenly content with indoors

I put Leo in the cat tree so he could get some sun. I'd say my sweet, old man is really loving it. Purrincess Leia, absolute trooper she is, helped me get him settled before retiring to the top.

She's been coming to hang around my house all summer and fall. Around Christmas, it became clear she'd taken up living in my yard. I bought my own pet microchip reader just to see if I could find this lady's owner. No luck.

Leo is zonked out hard from his evening dose of pain meds. 🥹🥰 The vet said he'd get used to the meds with time, but to expect him to be really sleepy until then. If his labs come back good, he'll go on to a monthly anti-inflammatory shot.

So I apparently have a litter of older kittens living on my property. It started with this lovely snowshoe cat who started hanging out in my yard and on my deck. Since I took these photos, she's brought her siblings by -- all < 6lbs (2.7kg). Not chipped 🫠😩
