Today is the 9th anniversary of #FireEmblem Warriors, the first Fire Emblem game for Nintendo Switch (also released on New 3DS). Featuring characters from Shadow Dragon, Awakening, and Fates, this game combined elements of the Fire Emblem series with Koei Tecmo's Dynasty Warriors series.

Today is the 27th anniversary of the release of #FireEmblem: Thracia 776 for Super Famicom. A side story for Genealogy of the Holy War, it returned to Mystery of the Emblem's general gameplay style but introduced the Rescue mechanic, the Escape and Defend objectives, and capturing enemies.

Trivia Tuesday: The track "Prologue" from #FireEmblem: The Sacred Stones was originally composed by Yuka Tsujiyoko for The Blazing Blade, but it ended up cut from the final game and repurposed for the next installment. It is present in the game data of the February 6 build of The Blazing Blade.

Trivia Tuesday: The original name of Roy from #FireEmblem: The Binding Blade during development was Ike. Path of Radiance's Ike, in turn, was known as Paris during the original E3 2004 reveal. The name Paris was used for Ike's descendant in Fire Emblem Awakening (renamed Priam in the localization).

Today is the 18th anniversary of #FireEmblem: Shadow Dragon, a remake of the first Fire Emblem game. This game was intended to bring in new fans to the series, and features several changes such as reclassing, a prologue, and some new bonus chapters to help struggling players.

Trivia Tuesday: According to the New Mystery of the Emblem Iwata Asks, #FireEmblem: Genealogy of the Holy War was originally going to allow each unit to die up to 5 times before being removed from play. However, this was controversial amongst development staff and was ultimately scrapped.

Today is the 7th anniversary of the release of #FireEmblem: Three Houses for #NintendoSwitch. This game introduced a full 3D hub world, a calendar system, and gambits, and it became the best-selling game in the franchise with over 4.12 million copies sold as of 2023.

Trivia Tuesday: #FireEmblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light for Famicom was originally envisioned as having event illustrations for each chapter before it was deemed technically unfeasible. The attached image is a concept sketch drawn for Chapter 3: The Ghoul's Teeth.

Today is the 16th anniversary of #FireEmblem: New Mystery of the Emblem for #NintendoDS. This was the last Fire Emblem game to be Japan-exclusive. It introduced the avatar system, bonuses from checking on your characters, and tonic-type stat boosters that last a whole chapter.

Trivia Tuesday: Lumera's sprite in #FireEmblemEngage has differently-colored eyes, even though in her model both her eyes are the same color. This is probably a relic of her concept art design, where she had a pink and blue color scheme. #FireEmblem

Update: Over the next few days, character stat boxes will be updated to be more usable on mobile, no longer requiring horizontal scrolling. Desktop should be unaffected.

Tuesday Trivia: There is some internal evidence to suggest that Regna Ferox from Fire Emblem Awakening was once envisioned as a republic rather than a diarchy: the unit faction label's string is named フェリア共和国軍 (Republic of Felia Army), differing from the actual text (フェリア連合王国軍).

Trivia Tuesday: In the leaked May 31, 2004 build of #FireEmblem: The Sacred Stones, Amelia was the Princess of Frelia instead of Tana, and took her role in the story. Here is a screenshot of her in the opening scene of Chapter 1.

Tuesday Trivia: The Corrupted in Fire Emblem Engage are referred to as "Morphs" in the in-game data, which is likely a reference to Nergal's Morphs in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade.
