Happy to have a bit of gaming history for a franchise that I absolutely love! Didn't realize until recently that Kirby didn't have his copy-ability in his debut! Interesting to have learned that. Also didn't realize until relatively recently (but a few years ago at least) that every iteration

MegaMan Dual Override and Metal Slug are great as well. Two other of my favorite series. Didn't see much else I wanted/was excited for (Don't currently have a Switch 2, probably can't afford one for a long ass while either.) But I'm satisfied

Ninty Direct Thread 🧵: Despite me being a relatively new fan of Metroid, I would still probably buy a switch 2 just for Ravenous. Dread was fantastic. Also HECK YEAH MORE KIRBYYY LET'S GOOOO!! I love that lil guy and the series so much 💚 Hopefully they do something cool for the anniversary

Upkeep the cartridges and ensure that they stay in good working order before the data decay (or bit rot) that would eventually set in, since they use flash memory instead of Mask Roms like older cartridges. Photo Proof:

Got my 1st CIB GBA game recently! Weirdly kinda proud/happy/excited about this, so wanted to share! I will most likely swap out the cardboard box for a better custom GBA case (like those DS game cases, but thicker).

#Videogames #PSVita My small collection of Vita games. Fun fact, Freedom Wars & P4G were what got me into the Vita (and at the time, it was also basically a better PSP). Then I fell in love with it. Yes Original was also my 1st LRG game ever. Shame they suck now... 😞 Still have some games I want

Very rough ref done on my phone. Quilava Sona. Tried to make some original identifying design choices while keeping it recognizable as a Quilava. Might refine it on my tablet later when I can find the time. Personality/Backstory/Quirks Info down below 🧵 👇

A Quilava fan character. The main reference on the left has them standing upright. They sport a scare on their right eye. They have a leather satchel, a single gold earring on their right ear, a purple bandana with a badge (from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games; a golden winged circle) pinned to the bandana. This Quilava character also wears small rectangular glasses. On the right top, it shows that their flames are a bright green. On the bottom right, it shows them sleeping.

Two recent pickups I got for decent prices while scrolling through eBay. Heard that Apprentice of the Force is a bit underrated as an action platformer. Picked up Iridion 3D after seeing @greatestgames.substack.com talk about it and wanted to give it a try! Both are pretty fun so far!

Two GameBoy Advance game cartridges. Top one is called Iridion 3D. Bottom is Star Wars Trilogy: Apprentice of the Force.

Bit of a vent doodle. Also trying to experiment with doing Khyli (my raccoon/sona) in a more anthro style. Just been going through a lot recently, and it just seems like surprisingly a lot brings up old feelings/thoughts I've had since childhood trauma. I know mental health ain't linear, but

I have some OCs who I WANT to do stuff with, but I just haven't 100% figured out their niche yet. This is one such OC. Had her for quite a few years now. April Reed. Hope some people like her, at least. #FirecharArts #OC #ReferenceSheet #FirecharOC

A reference sheet of an original character by Firechar. A blue and white furred bunny gal with blonde hair, a pink keyhole sweater, orange skirt, and pink heels. Her name is April Reed.

Height: 5'5"
Weight: 180lbs
Curvy Hourglass figure
Likes: Gardening
She had a brief tenure as a professional nun (and as a more "naughty" nun variant)
She is kind, caring, shy, and polite. A guardian of sorts.

This game has some very pretty views. Going to grind out some money and levels before I continue on. I think I need to go to...Junon, next? Got everyone close to 19-20 now.

🎶I want to ride my chocobo, all dayy~!🎶 Is this the 1st game that introduced chocobo riding? Pretty neat if so. Hopefully later I get to actually keep some. Iirc, before this they were only like, enemies/summons, correct??

Dunno if anyone really cares, but I've seen others do like a media/impressions threads of certain things they've watched/played. Thought it'd be fun to do one of my own, giving my thoughts and 1st time impressions about my 1st playthrough of the original FF7. Spoilers ahead, obviously...

Got things all finalized! Took some learning and tweaking, but now I have my library of games up to PS1 up and running pretty well! Might need to use the overclock function to get one specific arcade game working, but that's alright with me.

Cal/Callie @firechar.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

Managed to get GarlicOS installed! Majority of things seem to be working well, baring a few small issues. Going to keep tweaking and working on it until I can get things 100% working!

Re-did Khyli's ref to make it more apparent that she's chubby/wide/thick, but still not quite entirely happy with it. BUT this will do for now. Just frustrating to re-do, especially since the file kept fucking up while doing so. #FirecharArts #FirecharOCs #ReferenceSheet

Insane to me that certain retro games have seemingly tripled in price in just a couple years. Bought this back then from an online store for like $20. Now it's listed for just over triple what I paid! (Sure, eBay has a chance of having better prices, but then you also have to take a chance on—

Recent pickup from eBay. Used to have this game as a kid, but lost my own copy a while ago. Didn't even know that it was published (I think? Or like co-developed by?) by Ubisoft of all people. Interesting to find out. I like Batman Beyond. Enjoy the animated show a lot. Probably my favorite—

Picked up Battle Network 3 again to try and progress some more. Didn't play the BN games until now, but I got into it's successor series StarForce *hard* around middle school since I had a DS lite. Glad that they're somewhat similar in terms of genre and game mechanics at least.

Onto the post game! Or, move onto another game lol. I might just get to a point where I can trade between R/S/E and move on. Pretty happy to have done this. Might chip away on completing the Pokedex, (but feasibly can only do Kanto dex; no Xtra GBA, game or cable/wireless adapters) dunno.

Been enjoying my time with Rockstar's Bully recently. It's fun, especially as a GTA-type game with the constraints of being set within a boarding school. I feel like that made for some fun and creative choices regarding missions and activities within the game. Wish that they'd make a sequel—

Four albums that'd serve as an introduction to your tastes! I too enjoy quite a very broad spectrum, but my preferred genre would be punk rock I suppose. 🤘 But my mp3 is filled with several differing genres of music, ranging from popular classics, to videogame OSTs, electronic, dance, etc. 💚😸
