iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Meaning there are some audiobooks I’ve HAD to pause and come back to later when they get to be a bit too much. And I’ve had my fair share of giggling outbursts (thankfully no one was around) But man does it make me think, what the heck is everyone listening to at work 🤣 lmao

020

I’ve gotten caught smiling to myself—BY MY BOSS who’s like “what are you listening to that has you all smiley over there” Luckily it was just a stupid funny video I had no problem mentioning what it was about. But I also know I don’t have a poker face either—

130

We all typically sit at our desks in the silence with headphones on. But yesterday my second coworker bursts out laughing. To which I have to ask, “what’s so funny?” But this guy gets so flustered and won’t tell us what he’s listening to. Which is totally valid but it makes me think—

This is interesting to me cause that’s what I’m currently listening to— amongst other things. I figured I’d use my time to catch up on some books I’ve been wanting to read. So I go back and forth though audiobooks, music and podcasts. The funny part is my second coworker who got here after me—

You see, I lasted about 2 weeks of just listening to music before I couldn’t take it anymore, however I just found out my coworker who got here a few months before me is only now hitting his limit of listening purely to music. He’s now gotten into scary story podcasts.

Going from working in retail/customer service to sitting in silence 95% of your day while you work on your own is such a mind trip. I’ve been in this new job 3 months now and I’m still not adjusted lol And I’ve started to realize I’m not the only one here who’s learning this first hand haha …

I have not been 100% the last couple weeks. I’m typically not the type of person who lets others in to what’s going on, rather I hide it all to myself. But I feel absolutely horrible leaving people hanging or waiting for me with no explanation. …I’m also trying to get better at asking for help
