In March 1948, Frank Sinatra helped Teddy Kollek, a Haganah representative (and future Jerusalem mayor), smuggle an estimated $1 million in cash to a New York pier to pay for arms destined for the nascent State of Israel. Sinatra acted as a courier to bypass FBI surveillance, ensuring the money reached a ship captain for undercover operations.

"Kollek needed to pay an Irish captain on a New York-docked ship loaded with munitions destined for Israel, but was under strict FBI surveillance.
This incident, often told by Kollek, highlighted Sinatra's deep, long-standing commitment to supporting Israel in its early days, as detailed in reports from the National Library of Israel and the Times of Israel.
While Sinatra was speaking with Kollek (at the Copa where dad was performing), Kollek told Sinatra about his plans and Dad agreed to help.
Kollek walked out the front door, drawing FBI attention, while Sinatra exited the back with approximately 1 million dollars in a paper bag.
He met the captain at the ship and handed over the money to ensure the ship could sail. This was a clandestine operation and it took courage on Dad's part. But supporting the newly forming State of Israel was a cause Sinatra supported throughout his life.
Teddy and Frank maintained a connection, with Sinatra later visiting Israel for events like the 1964 dedication of the Frank Sinatra International Youth Center in Nazareth.

BLOCKBUSTER FINDING: JEFFREY EPSTEIN WAS ON THE 2014 DIALOG RETREAT INVITE LIST
On November 28, 2012, an invitation to the March 2014 Dialog retreat at the Sundance Resort, Utah was sent to lan Osborne - Jeffrey Epstein's British fixer, who represented him from his prison release through to his re-arrest. Osborne forwarded the invitation to Epstein. ![This means that as late as November 2012 - three years after Epstein's 2009 conviction for soliciting a minor - Peter Thiel's organization sent an invitation to a convicted sex offender's fixer, who then forwarded it to Epstein himself.
The implications are seismic:
1. Epstein had a direct pipeline into the heart of Silicon Valley's most exclusive power network. The invite list included Treasury secretaries, senators, CEOs of the world's largest companies, and military leaders.
2. Ian Osborne was the conduit. Osborne - who The Verge reported was "with Tim Cook this morning" while messaging Epstein in February 2026[^2] - later launched the SPAC Social Capital Hedosophia with Dialog member Chamath Palihapitiya[^3]. The Epstein fixer became a Silicon Valley dealmaker with a Dialog member as his partner.
3. Thiel's claim that Hoffman introduced him to Epstein becomes more disturbing in this light. If Thiel's organization was already sending Epstein invites through Osborne in 2012, the
"Hoffman introduced us" narrative may be a cover story for a deeper, earlier institutional relationship between Thiel's network and Epstein.
4. The 2014 retreat date is critical. Epstein's name appears on a retreat invitation two years after his conviction - the same period when Epstein was investing $15M in Thiel's Valar Ventures (2012-2014)[^4], and when multiple Dialog members (Summers, Schmidt, Hoffman) were maintaining their own Epstein relationships.
Epstein wasn't just adjacent to the PayPal Mafia. He was invited into their secret society.
