A few snaps from today's story-inspired adventures in Oxford. First stop Lyra and Will's bench in the Botanical Gardens, then on to The Story Museum where we stepped through the wardrobe to Narnia, played pooh sticks in Hundred Acre Wood and met a flight of dragons.

Where am I? You're in a room... Knightmare was one of my favourite TV shows as a kid. Last night I finally got to live my childhood dream and try on the famous helmet and knapsack. Made my geeky little heart sing. Anyone else remember the show? #80skid #90skid #geeklife

One day I'd love to see the cherry blossoms in Japan, but in the meantime there's something much springtime beauty on my doorstep ❤️

A walk in the woods = visit to my happy place. So good to get outside and seek out the first signs of spring.

Is this the cutest thing ever?

Two cats asleep on a bed, one spawned out on this back, the other curled up.

My supervisor is keeping a close eye on my writing progress today. I can't tell if he's impressed or not, but he's very vocal!

Does anyone else find rainy days inspirational for writing? There's something about the sound of raindrops on the windowpanes, isn't there? And I've got this beautiful new notebook ready for a new project.

🎉So excited for this amazing adventure - Mission Manta Ray by the brilliant Philip Kavvadias. If you or your kids haven’t yet read Mission Microraptor - no. 1 in the series - I highly recommend it. Treat yourself. You will have a blast & the January blues will be gone! 😂🎉

Baggins the dragon thinks this is a brilliant prize. I agree🙂

This is such a great idea! If anyone who's able to donated the equivalent of one gift instead of buying a present it would make such a difference - and help spread the#MagicOfBooks even further.

When it's cold and wet outside, the best thing you can do is snuggle up and relax. Happy Caturday!

There's something very pleasing about seeing cats sitting on the window ledge, keeping watch over the world.

This is rather lovely, but not conducive to work...

Hello #Booksky! I'm on a quest to find a much-loved picture book from my childhood and hoping you can help! I never had a copy of my own, but I used to get it out of the library all the time.

Leaning into the snow theme... What's your favourite children's book featuring the cold white stuff? The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper still has one of the most atmospheric openings of any book I've read. #kidlitUK

Anyone else have cats or dogs experiencing snow for the first time today? Pure joy 😊

It's not quite Narnia, but there was certainly something magical about this morning's dusting of snow.
