I’m sure I saw some in the reduced section in Morrisons last week. I don’t like kippers so there they stayed.

My covers are already weighted down with bricks, we’re quite exposed and I’ve not lost one yet! Will have to see what the garden centre has available, pretty sure they have a couple of different sorts.

My curly kale and PSB are doing really well under their mesh covers. TBH I was thinking of leaving the covers in place, it will stop the pigeons and saves storing them.

Absolutely glorious by the estuary today. Warm sun and very gentle breeze. Sound of curlews and skylarks in the distance.

The view down the estuary, water and sandbanks one side, grass the other, with a line of rocks stretching into the distance. Above are bright blue skies.

If I froze it then it would linger in the freezer for all eternity… we’re out of routine this week, I think if it was a normal week I’d use it up in work lunches, but it feels odd eating different food to D at nearly every meal.

We have our supermarket deliveries from them. Just got so fed up of the rubbish selection at our local Tesco but like you, couldn’t justify the round trip to the nearest Waitrose.

I buy most of my clothes in the charity shops and it’s fine when we’re home, but as soon as we’re going away it’s such a mishmash that I can’t put anything together.

Do you have anything else so you’re not totally reliant on oil ? My son wants an electric shower but his landlords won’t foot the bill. Mind you, he can cook and heat the downstairs with wood.

Alternatively buy enormous curtains and get your mum to alter them.
