Gibbaranea bituberculata, currently listed as Extinct on the GB Red List. Having been rediscovered in mainland Britain in 2023, it is still only known from a single site in Kent.

So far the rarest species I have ever seen in the UK, the minute Flea Beetle Longitarsus aeruginosus. Endemic to Folkestone Warren in the UK, it is listed as Critically Endangered and RDB1.

Great evening at Sandwich Bay. Spurge Hawkmoth, Sand Dart, Tawny Wave and Starry Pearl all lifers but the highlight was definitely seeing European Ant-lion in the flesh!

Three lifers from Tuesday, Kentish Plover, Saltmarsh Wolf Spider and Blue Jellyfish. Definitely wasn’t expecting a Lycosid to pop up underneath straddline litter
