As some of you are aware, part of Dragon Age day was to thank the DA Devs for all the hard work they put into the series we love so much. This is also the first DA Day where we have no DA team, as they were laid off earlier this year. So let's make an effort to support their new projects!🧵

Happy Dragon Age Day all! 💜 Been a while since I used this. Haven't stopped loving DA while I've been away though. Here's my love letter edit to the series. 🤎❤️💚💜. Still active over on TikTok if you're interested - vm.tiktok.com/ZNR8RNvav/ #Dragonageday #DragonAge

🧵 I would like to remind the DA fandom that a HUGE percentage of the player base does not have access to mods and some that do don't have the technical confidence/ability to use them. The holier that thou attitude if you want this just go to mods is at best short-sighted and at times ableist. 1/x

Something I hope for in potential future DA games is more variety in accents for your player character instead of just English or American. Imagine playing as a Crow Rook with an Antivan accent, that would be so fun. I'm also just desperate to play as a Scottish Rook but I'm biased there.

Trust me to create my new Rook then just as I'm getting into my second run, I get an idea for another Rook that I want to play asap😭

Just saw a TikTok where somebody said some of the writers of Veilguard deserved to get fired because of the writing???? Have your issues with the game all you want but saying people deserve to get fired is absolutely batshit behaviour wtf. That level of entitlement is shocking.

Can we talk about how beautiful the art is in #veilguard

000

Finn'Harel @finnharel.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

New Rook Alert 🚨: Markus Thorne. The Grey Warden. Small lore fact: He had his eye clawed out by a darkspawn which tainted him, gave him his scar and left him blind in one eye. He was saved by Wardens who then put him through the joining.

I love that the demons in Veilguard are named after how I feel about the game in general

I’ll never understand why people spend so much time and energy complaining about games they hate. I promise you, you’ll be a much happier person if you focus on the things you love rather than things you don’t.

#veilguardspoilers #dragonage #veilguard #dragonageveilguard I'm so sad that Finn, my first Rook's, story is over. I can't lie I got a bit teary eyed when making this edit. I'm excited to see what other Rooks I can come up with though. Already got a few ideas in my head 👀.

Say what you want about Veilguard but the treatment it got has opened the eyes of many gamers and devs to the absolute abuse and lies that haters are prepared to put out online for views. It’s good to see people standing up to it and calling it out for what it really is! 👍

I really feel for the devs cause for the last decade, DATV went through 9 circles of hell. They fought internally for this game to come out as it did. No multiplayer, no not-to-be-mentioned BS, and as many inclusions as possible. And yet still, they get ripped on and harassed to shit

I am not sure what I missed but sheeeeshhhh.... If some of you are super angry about a game don't play it. Write a review. Go take a walk. Smooch your other. Play a different game. Write 100s of pages of FF. Start your own gaming company. But leave the dev's alone? FFS

I really need to just let go and delete Twitter for good. Every time I'm on there I just see the most whiny and nonsensical DA takes and I cba with it anymore.

AND ANOTHER THING! I'm sick of the "well that's just not realistic" criticism when it comes to any form of media. I don't watch/play/read things for realism. Why would anyone want that when the real world we live in is a horrible place. Stop being boring and just have FUN!

Finn'Harel @finnharel.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

With the current state of gaming discourse these days I feel so glad I'm able to just enjoy things. I don't feel the need to nitpick small details or complain about inclusion because it literally doesn't affect me.

110

Finn'Harel @finnharel.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

Drives me insane reading comments like "no one asked for this" or "literally no one played this" in regards to video games. When will the gamer bros realise not everything is made for them😭. What will it take for them to form actual opinions instead of listening to grifters on YouTube?

Finn'Harel @finnharel.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

Idk if I'm ready to move on from Finn yet🥲 I've got a couple more edits to make and a review from my run with him. Then its time to create a new Rook. I connected with Finn more than any of my other DA protagonists so he's going to be very missed when the time comes.

Some quick thoughts while the credits are rolling: What a ride that was. 10 years of waiting and for me it was definitely worth it! While it may not be a perfect game, it is a phenomenal Dragon Age game (to me anyway) #veilguard #dragonage

I'm so intrigued about this secret ending I've heard about for #veilguard Why am I picturing an avengers style post credit scene😭. Someone walks into the lighthouse to speak to Rook and the subtitle just says: Hero of Ferelden: "I'm putting a team together"

On the odd occasion that I open Facebook I always see dragon age hate posts. They keep coming back no matter how many times I select the "not interested" option. Feels just as bad as twitter at this point. Just leave me alone and let people enjoy things ffs 😭

Definitely Dragon Age: Origins. This game kicked off my love for RPGs and story based games. It changed the way I would play games and the small amount of queer representation was huge for me in coming to terms with my own sexuality. Will always love you DA:O💜
