Awesome, I'll just have to up my game then. Thank you 😀

Just curious but what tool is being used to generate these block diagrams? I've used draw.io before but have had trouble getting good results for complex designs as the block snapping breaks down.

Awesome, thank you :)

Would it be okay for me to include a few notes on this in my writeup to the students (with proper credit) if I were to end up TAing again?

Looking at the DTFT as a down conversion to DC is a genius shift in perspective. I TA a DSP course and may need to adjust my lesson so that students have enough exposure to mixing sinusoids so that they can see it from this angle too.

are these sample parts? maybe i am misunderstanding what you are trying to say.

Why is it using the additive identity for the lerp "normalization" of a? Wouldn't that evaluate out to be 0 - t for number types? Sorry if I am just misunderstanding how c#/lerp math works. I do love this though, may have to try out c# now

i thought it was an all size fits all thing but this is still really cool, somehow i never knew about these

woah cool 0: what is this type of rail kit for a desktop pc? googling just brought up those desk mount rack 8u rack thingies.

The derating is always a good thing to note, I was just wondering how stable the resistance has been.

Is this much of a concern for this circuit with the carbon resistive button pads? I feel like those would wear out much quicker?

This is a super late reply to this but is it a varactor tuned hybrid coupler? I've only seen this type of design once so it could very well be a wrong guess.

me but with the chirp-z transform

Oh damn I jumped the gun, yeah different dielectrics and geometries will do that.

Are they on the same reel? We had a project at work where custom order SMD inductors would have really good variance but only across one manufacturing run. Otherwise, worse than 20% tolerance even at just 10MHz

I love how you wired up the SMA connector

In the 1960s, this absurdly large camera was used to make masks for integrated circuits. The layers of the integrated circuit were drawn at large scale and then optically shrunk to make the glass masks that were used in manufacturing.
Black and white photo of a giant bellows camera about 8 feet tall. A man is standing in front of the lens which is the size of his torso. Caption: "A copy camera of the type useful in making high-precision photographic masks."

I am kinda late to this but is it not a simplified form of a difference equation? Seeing the use of current and previous states along with @tomverbeure.bsky.social's plots which seem to show exponential growth and decay remind me of one. Might try and take a closer look tomorrow. Very cool stuff
