At this point, their love story slides from the future into a story into a story… and it’s unclear if this is fiction for them or other lives or versions of them.

About halfway through, but absolutely riveted and sad it’s a work night so I have to stop reading. Considering it follows a Matthew (not a Matt) who lost his husband early and is deeply in grief years later, I was primed to be invested!

Sounds like a massive amount of fun to me! I actually once had a coworker who would talk about apple types so lovingly that I’d stop by the grocery store on the way in every day to try and a different one until I ran out. 😅

It absolutely succeeds as horror and romance with a dash of fantasy! Be prepared for heart clutching, “Aw that’s so sweet”s punctuated with finger bones crunching between her teeth. I’d wish Jenny all the best, even if it’s maybe dangerous to visit Boston when ages in residence.

I don’t think I’ve ever rooted for a murderous creature (TBF she’s not human and we’re prey) to win the love OR eat the object of her affection so much before. (maybe AND) But seriously, Jenny is such a wonderful character navigating the human world with new mythical friends by her side. #booksky

One of my favorite events, so I am a little bummed it's on a day I'm presenting at Bouchercon BUT they record everything and give you months to watch it! While it is aimed towards librarians, every time I've moderated they've pointed out non-librarians will enjoy the author talks too. 😁
