FINALLY finished with submissions. Worked on Lew Leon this morning. What a fascinating game.

tbcr's submissions are as follows:

Cameltry

All Stages With a Paddle
All Stages Without a Paddle

Die Hard

Round 1

DONGO ADVENTURE

Beat the Game

Lew Leon

Beat the Game (with Cutscene Incentive)

Marathon

Kindergarten

As submissions are ending in a few days and I still have 1 game remaining to get recordings for, I am pulling the "I am not starting (the twitch) stream until I am done" card for tonight. If it gets too late, we will move Majin Tensei II to Saturday.

The issue with the M1 was, while it does have a lot more "oomf" CPU and GPU wise, the 8GB of RAM it had (as it was the ORIGINAL m1 mini from 2020) really limited what I could do with it. I still have my M1 Pro Macbook and my M4 ipad that I can use for on-the-go editing and my Linux box for local.

I sold my M1 mac mini yesterday...to get a used 2013 iMac... You may think that is a bad decision but this is one of the higher end models (quad core i5@3.5GHz and 16GB RAM, along with 1TB SSD) and it's mostly going to be used for internal network stuff for content creation workflow.

I forgot to post I was live on here but the stream was pretty good despite going from about midnight to 9:45am (6 of which was on twitch). Lew Leon is ready for me to record for submissions but that will be after doing a new recording of Marathon with Dav co-commentating.

Friday's Bad Brain Night looks to have had some lingering problems for me over the last few days.

000

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 29/09/2026

Stream is still planned and I am setting up for it right now. I tried taking a 1-2 hour nap after work and it ended being a 4 hour nap even with alarms set.

Good morning. I've been up for a good bit working on practicing the game I want to work on tonight, Lew Leon/Leo the Lion. I have 3 particular pain point levels (and the boss for two other ones) but I should hopefully be able to get some sort of runs going tonight.

000

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 27/09/2026

Long/Short: The position of the bits for looking down and the Look Mode button were the same in the action flags. By moving the value of Look Mode, it fixes the behavior (which was done in Marathon 2). I could potentially submit the Mac version if I wanted now.

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 27/09/2026

As you can tell from no going live post tonight, I have decided to not go through with Majin Tensei II. That being said, I am working on things. Someone made a (somewhat easy) fix for the mousebug for Marathon on mac, which I am testing atm. I am also working on Lew Leon/Leo the Lion.

I am going to work on AGDQ submission things up until the teebs+/ko-fi pre-stream setup time tonight (7:30pm EDT). I will decide if we are actually doing the game then.

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 26/09/2026

So yeah, we're pulling the art lesson stream format on Fridays and will be replacing them with @blazs.vtubers.social and me playing Starbound (A game I've played like 5 minutes of ever). I am still having them offline (on Sundays now)

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 26/09/2026

Out of spite of my subconscious, I am going to keep at learning this stuff. I am a stubborn fuck and I'm not going to let these bad thoughts win out, because doing that is just going to make me spiral. Depending how I'm feeling later, I may do Majin Tensei II, but last night took alot out of me.

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 26/09/2026

Back here after sleeping for a while. I hate my stupid ass fucking brain so much. I just want to learn how to draw and to do 3d modeling and yet years of childhood trauma and my ADHD results in my brain SCREAMING at me over any mistakes when trying. Like klaxons and bells like it's on fire.

100

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 26/09/2026

If you wanted to watch this in VOD form…sorry. I was once again “going through it”™️ with anxiety and my brain bullying me. This inevitably led to “the thought” and a panic attack on stream. We may be moving these back to ”offline lessons” for the time being, with an alternative format for next fri.

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 25/09/2026

Well, I knew it would've inevitably happene, but one of the external hinges of my psion series 3c has finally grenaded itself. Now I get to look into seeing how to repair it.

010

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 25/09/2026

I am pretty low energy atm so I am putting off Majin Tensei II to the weekend.

010

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 24/09/2026

The # of games I do that fit this can be counted on one hand, but these runs are definitely up there in terms of my own personal accomplishments. The Fortress of Dr. Radiaki is probably the one I would point to as a best example. It is genuinely frustrating to play, but I got it to under a hour.

010

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 24/09/2026

For me, as one that got into the hobby to help deal with his major depressive disorder at the time, there is an absolute rush of Serotonin that occurs when you are able to conquer a game that you despise so much you go out of your way to learn, route & beat it fast. That probably sounds weird.

100

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 24/09/2026

I've had to keep OBS open with a windowed projector at all times on my only win 11 box to keep it from updating and making the system less usable.

000

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 24/09/2026

On this note, my submissions are looking to be very eclectic again this time. A platformer, a run'n'gun', a maze game and a FPS. Still thinking over the 5th game.

030

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 23/09/2026

Room and Registration (as far as I know) is dealt with for AGDQ. Just need to focus on what remaining submissions I need to get done and if I need to record another attempt for any of the other games I have submitted.

020

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 23/09/2026

I really need to learn more speedgames, but that also requires me to finish learning the ones I am stuck on.

001

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 22/09/2026

I bet they conveniently did not announce this until the day before doing so people couldn't do anything about it

101

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 22/09/2026

Anticipating my account I created 2 months into discord being a thing will be put in a group where I will have to do a verification to prove I am an adult

201

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 22/09/2026

Ok, so the original test image that I used for the 2nd machine was Alma Linux 10.2, which would not boot at all. Alma 9 seems to work.

010

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 22/09/2026

On the subject of the homelab, that poweredge is still giving some issues and another machine is having issues booting from USB.

100

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 22/09/2026

I won't lie, I was in a bad mood all day and at the start of this stream, but my mood improved as time went on. We got some pretty consistent times so I feel good about recording this tonight on the bonus stream. Back on twitch on Thur with Majin Tensei II. Working on this and homelab stuff until.

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

LMAO, me moving this gif to warudo cause it to experience a memory leak that took out my system. amazing.

000

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

Yeah a scene with just 2 text boxes and a GIF of a rotating gradient is about 20% gpu by itself.

100

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

Ironically, I did have a scene tidying recently, but since I've started streaming on two sites, I've actually added more scenes so apparently I'm just shooting myself in the foot with my set up

100

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

Amongst other things, I mostly haven't used stream labs due to the fact that my configurations kept deleting so I would have to re-create everything every single time I streamed back in the 2015-2018 era. I almost got desperate enough to move back to xsplit then.

000

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

I am using that currently, though obs and warudo are both making the gpu hit almost 100% as of recent which is making encoding overload happen, hence asking about restreaming services

100

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

And my current setup already has OBS it 30% idling with my currently scenes usually, so anything to lessen the GPU load is a plus.

000

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

Currently how the stream works is the teebs+ feed starts about 30-90 minutes before the actual stream, then goes for about .5-2 hours after I sign off on twitch. As it turns out, dual encoding for a custom RTMP and for twitch at the same settings makes a 5070 also pushing a 3D model around yell

200

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

Needing to find a restreaming service that can let me select which ones are live at any time. That being said, I think most of them effectively function as a splitter so that probably is not doable.

100

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

less than 9 hours. pre-stream for ko-fi supporters hopefully will start at 7:30pm EDT. even if it is my birthday, we still got stuff to do and that stuff is practicing Marathon for submissions

010

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

To no surprise, anxiety about it being the birthday has made it to where I am probably not sleeping today. Cool.

100

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 21/09/2026

In about 15 hours, Another Foot in the Grave - 2027 Edition. (aka the birthday stream)

010

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 20/09/2026

A bit late getting to this, but we are now live with session 19 of Majin Tensei II: SPIRAL NEMESIS. It looks to be a very painful map ahead, but at least I have my spreadsheet. twitch.tv/tbcr_ #goinglive #tbcronline #vtuber #envtuber #vsky

Feebs rushes into the room to take a photo for the thumbnail when I (the alt text person) make the comment "Look who bothered to show up finally...". She looks at me with this pose and said "Listen here you little shit".

020

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 19/09/2026

So there wasn't a stream last night due to me focusing very intensely on Die Hard for agdq submissions. Tonight's original stream plan is not happening due to Blazs being unavailable. I am going to do the Majin Tensei II stream tomorrow and focus more on Die Hard tonight.

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 16/09/2026

I really wish Stoat had importing of Discord templates to make it easier to move servers over (unless i am just bad at finding these things). Fluxer has it but it's recent reliability and its currently convoluted steps to self-host really make it a hard sell.

020

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 15/09/2026

The PO II is probably going to be one of the oldest devices I will be talking about for this series (for now), with this specific model being from 1989.

000

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 15/09/2026

I would like to move the jornada over to a LED backlight as CCFL backlights can drain batteries kinda quick. The game gear is a good example of that.

000

tbcr🕹️💨 Speedrunning Vtuber @fine-quality.website · 15/09/2026

Been testing the Psion Organiser II (LZ64) and the HP Jornada 720. So far I am really liking them. The former is really useful even with only 64k of RAM. very loud alarm. Appointments can't overlap but that is fine. The Jornada has a fuck ton of functions. A smartcard reader? FLORESCENT BACKLIGHT?!

It's Monday and we got a 2-fer for ya. We start by derusting some Cameltry on the X68000 for AGDQ submissions and then we move to DONGO ADVENTURE, to grind runs (submission is already recorded). twitch.tv/tbcr_ #envtuber #vtuber #goinglive #tbcronline #vsky

The Nintendo Switch e-shop image for this game (DONGO ADVENTURE) that we swear is a real thing and not a shitpost.
