– 32 years old.
– Rather tall at 175cm.
– Ph.D. in Osmekian history.
– Researcher at Cresvik University,
Cresvik, Osmekia.
Rosana Salme Darimka was born to
an Osmekian mother and a Savakian father
in Cresvik in 1862.
She got her master's degree in humanities
in 1882 and earned her doctorate in 1890.
In May of 1894, her work ethic nearly
drove her insane, so her family told her
to take a holiday for once. She traveled,
albeit reluctantly, to her aunt's house
in the idyllic village of Ramola.

Underneath there's a drawing of an open grimoire with the caption:

The medieval codex that
will later be known as the
"Darimka Manuscript".

The coats of arms of Osmekia, Savakia and the Cresvik University are on display next to the oval-shaped paintings depicting Rosana. The borders of the entire artwork are decorated with roses.

Lili Kamila, as pictured in the year of our Lord, 1904.

– 22 years old.
– Average height at 164cm.
– Teacher's seminar graduate.
– Recent upper secondary school
graduate.
Lili Hanna Kamila was born in Cresvik, Osmekia
in 1882 to historian Marko Kamila and his wife
Hanna. Hanna has been suffering from early
onset dementia for a few years now.
Last year, Marko received a research
job offer in the coastal city of Omesvik.
It promised a good pay, and it made Lili resent
him. She saw it as an excuse to escape dealing with
Hanna's condition. Marko assured that the job would
only be for a few months, and he would
return right after.
He never did. The police investigation closed in
February after the police couldn't find his body
or any other leads, which is a show of incompetence
as far as Lili was concerned. After inheriting
the small townhouse Marko had bought with God knows
what money, Lili packed her bags and boarded
a train to Omesvik.

Lili wears a red, military style student cap. They're worn by recent graduates as well as university students.

She's also quite religious, and always wears her Godseye, a golden pendant in the shape of an eye, on top of her blouse under her jacket.

Religion hasn't stopped her from drinking, though.

Malina Sunplaqiv Marola is a Falhiv woman living in Omesvik.
Falhivs, or as the Osmekians call them, Rukami, are a nomadic people from the
Omesvik Region in what is now East Osmekia. They were colonised
in the 15th century by Osmekians, who forced the Falhivs to abandon
their way of life and culture in favour of theirs.
Falhiv names were too difficult for Osmekians to pronounce,
therefore Falhivs must name their children with Osmekian names.
Second names rarely come up in conversations, so they can be anything:
"Sunplaqiv" is Falhivish and means "ambassador of the gods".
Malina has been suffering from nightmares for over half a year now.
In these dreams, she is trapped in a dark place, perhaps a cavern of sorts.
It is hard to see, but the walls and floor seem to be formed by amber.
But she isn't alone, for there is something in the walls,
which wants to break free. It speaks to her, but not with words.
The dream ends and she ends up puking a strange, sticky substance.
