Our Final Fantasy V series will be delayed; Remy is taking a mental health break after a family tragedy. Thank you for your patience and understanding. New episodes will resume soon.

If anyone is playing along in Final Fantasy V, we're playing until we complete the Wind Shrine for our upcoming first episode in the series which will drop on 8/21. Any big FF5 fans out there?

So we're looking up the Wikipedia article on the guy who did the soundtrack for "Final Fantasy Mystic Quest" and when they get to what he did after leaving Square "Sasai is currently a bass guitarist for the Queen tribute band Queen Mania" oh my gosh this makes so much sense

Yesssssss! FF2 is good actually! I love the weird progression system that incentivizes you to use your favorite spells.

I'm glad it has its fans! There's a lot we like about it, actually. It's been mostly a fun time. The story has been pretty spare but serviceable. I would say it's definitely not as bad as the reputation it's had, which seems to be a recurring pattern with these games since we loved FF2.

Mystic Quest has very good music. Check out the Fireburg town theme if you haven't heard it yet. It's been stuck in my head for a week now.

Having just finished these games, don't be afraid to look up what the items, equipment, weapons, armor etc. do in these, since the games themselves don't bother to communicate any of that. Also the game manuals can all be found on the Internet Archive and I found them quite helpful. Good luck!
