Thoughts on TADC after watching it over the weekend. It's very well animated, has good comedic moments, can be dark and emotional only for the last 10 minutes to go "Sorry, none of that mattered, please feel bad for this AI and his virtual playthings." I don't buy it. What a rugpull of an ending.

This weekend will be the first time in nearly 20 years that I will not watch EVO. For the longest time, EVO was the pinnacle of fighting game tournaments. Sadly, as of February this year, it is now under full control of the Saudi government. I refuse to watch anything controlled by blood money.

Sometimes I'll look at Twitter(not interact, just read) and it's mind boggling how much pure insanity that place has become. Just endless bickering and drama and hatred. I enjoy how much quieter Bluesky is by comparison. Sure this place isn't perfect, but I'll take it over an endless nightmare.

Explain your @. I've had this username for 25+ years. In the early days it was longer to more closely tie it to its' origin of the PS1 RPG Legend of Dragoon. I also had an abbreviated version during my IRC days. And yes, I always have to remind people that it's 2 o's instead of 1.

For quite a while I wasn't looking forward to today for a lot of reasons. Birthdays were never really a day to celebrate for me, no real joy or excitement. It was simply another day for me. This year is different. A number of factors happened to make this the best birthday of my life. Thank you.
