I feel like bans can cover a lot of things, from overperforming cards to dangerous combo enablers to shaving a bit of power from top decks. And if a performance ban nerfed a deck a little too much or the meta shifted more than expected, I'm fine with judicious unbans.

Final Usurp prerelease: forced Viscerai on perhaps a mediocre pool because I've played all the other heroes. Went 1-3, felt like I had more bad banishes than good. Definitely should have sided out sinchants in mirror matches. 😅

Old Blitz was too powerful for a 20 life format. One high roll and the other player is crippled if not defeated. Commoner needed more competitive variety. LL is full of the crap I hated in CC and is the only way to play Dash IE.

To me Sage feels best as a casual Armory format or fun games outside an event. There are too many cards that are too good for the format for me to enjoy it competitively. That's something fixable, though LSS might be happy just with a decent variety of good decks.

I love FAB, CC, and Sage. There are a lot of things Sage could do better to open up the competitive format but it's also just fun to jam games with silly heroes that aren't around in CC.
