IT security experts attribute the cyber gang to Iran. It is apparently responsible for numerous DDoS attacks and is ideologically aligned with the Iranian regime. However, the selection of attack targets appears arbitrary. No specific demands are discernible.

The same group has also claimed responsibility for a denial-of-service attack on mastodon.social. This is the largest instance of the decentralized microblogging service Mastodon. On Monday, the attack had a much smaller impact there, as many accounts are hosted on other instances. Users on those instances were unaware of the incident. The attack was also quickly repelled on mastodon.social.

To […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

Vzorec: $L = n \times t$
$n$ = počet knih, $t$ = průměrná tloušťka.
Výpočet: $L = 10000 \times 0,025 = 250 \text{ m}$.

**Počet knihoven:**
Vzorec: $K = \lceil \frac{L}{w \times p} \rceil$
$w$ = šířka knihovny (1 m), $p$ = počet polic (6).
Výpočet: $K = \lceil \frac{250}{1 \times 6} \rceil = 42$.

**Podlahová plocha:**
Vzorec: $A = K \times w \times d \times c$
$d$ = hloubka knihovny (0,3 m), $c$ = koeficient manipulačního prostoru pro uličky (3).
Výpočet: $A = 42 \times 1 \times 0,3 \times 3 = 37,8 \text{ m}^2$.

**Hmotnost:**
Vzorec: $M = n \times m_k$
$m_k$ = průměrná hmotnost knihy (0,5 kg).
Výpočet: $M = 10000 \times 0,5 = 5000 \text{ kg}$.

**Lokální plošné zatížení:**
Vzorec: $q = \frac{M}{K \times w \times d}$
Výpočet: $q = \frac{5000}{42 \times 1 \times 0,3} = 396,8 \text{ kg/m}^2$.
Standardní nosnost obytných podlah je $150 \text{ kg/m}^2$ ($1,5 \text{ kN/m}^2$). Nutné statické zpevnění.

**Absolutní objem:**
Vzorec: $V = n \times (h \times w_k \times t)$
$h$ = výška knihy (0,23 m), $w_k$ = hloubka knihy (0,15 m).
Výpočet: $V = 10000 \times (0,23 \times 0,15 \times 0,025) = 8,625 \text{ m}^3$ (těsně naskládané bez polic ).

Lyrics

Fontaines D.C.
"A Hero's Death"

Life ain't always empty
Life ain't always empty
Life ain't always empty
Life ain't always empty
Life ain't always empty
Life ain't always empty

Don't get stuck in the past
Say your favourite things at mass
Tell your mother that you love her
And go out of your way for others
Sit beneath a light that suits ya
And look forward to a brighter future

Life ain't always empty
...

Sink as far down as you can be pulled up
Happiness really ain't all about luck
Let your demeanour be your deep down self
And don't sacrifice your life for your health
When you speak, speak sincere
And believe me friend, everyone will hear

Life ain't always empty
...

Bring your own two cents
Never borrow them from someone else
Buy yourself a flower every hundredth hour
Throw your hair down from your lonely tower
And if, and if
You find yourself in the family way
Give the kid more than what you got in your day

Life ain't always empty
...

Never let a clock tell you what you got time for
It only goes around, goes around, goes around
Take your family name for your own great sins
Cuz each day is where it all begins

And
Don't give up too quick
You only get one line - you better make it stick
If we give ourselves to every breath
Then we're all in the running for a hero's death

Life ain't always empty
...

That was the year of the sneer now the real thing's here

Once again, a fantastic info-graphic from Our World in Data. ourworldindata.org/deadliest-animals
The biggest killers, by far, are mosquitoes. They have been one of our biggest threats for millennia, and still kill approximately 760,000 people every year.2 Over 80% of those deaths are the result of malaria, which is transmitted and spread by the Anopheles mosquito. Malaria still kills close to half a million children every year.

Another 100,000 people die every year from other mosquito-borne diseases, including dengue fever and yellow fever (spread by the mosquito species Aedes aegypti) and Japanese encephalitis.

Almost all deaths from other animals are caused by just two types: mosquitoes and snakes.

Snakes are one of the most common phobias, and you can see why. They are the second largest killers. The death toll from venomous snakes is surprisingly uncertain, as many of these deaths occur in rural areas where death records are often poor.3 But the figure is likely to be around 100,000 deaths per year. That means snakes kill more than all animals below them on the list combined.4

Most of those remaining deaths are caused by dogs, the animals that humans have grown to love as domesticated pets. The majority are due to rabies, rather than direct wounds.

Near the bottom of the list, we reach the animals that dominate our nightmares — sharks and wolves. They make for gripping headlines and blockbuster films. But in reality, shark and wolf attacks are very rare.
