Now if Canada is smart they bite fully into this, By making the visa process streamlined for any workers who wish to move with the factory. After all unlike other international relocations, a person can move their stuff to Canada in a truck.

Trump and DOGE destroyed the American reputation in about a month last year. The only thing that can fix this state of things now is a nuclear powered delorean and the moral flexibility to mess with the timeline for the greater good.

Banks are honestly one of the most customer hostile businesses in existence. Especially due to all the consolidation they have been allowed to do. The western world needs to go on a trust busting bonanza across its entire corporate world. Break everything back up and customer experience may improve.

when the machine is under load the loop fluid temp will tend to stabilize around 36c, a very pleasant temp for nasties if the water lacks the right additives. Also the base has to be distilled water. Something data center scale could also probably use UVC water treatment as they have unlimited money

Space Elf/Tenno @filanwizard.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

if there is bacterium in the water than they did not use the correct fluids. Those of us who build custom water loops for our PCs have to make sure the fluids we use have biocides in them specifically to keep things from "gathering" in the fluid.

I think people need to be a bit more precise though. The whole online world depends on data centers. Heck most of the business world seems to run on AWS. However the AI data centers seem expendable, we can afford to shut off AI computing when power is coming up short.

Sounds like its time to set a power usage limitation per sqft/square meter, and that law would apply for grid or self generation builds. This would force the AI people to build more efficient machines, which would force Nvidia to make more efficient GPUs to go in them.

Natural Gas will be the hardest to kick. Many Americans depend on it for heating, cooking and hot water. And for renters they are at the whim of the building owner. For owners it might just be too costly to go electric for the stove and water heater and heat pump for the house heating.

Going to say a big thing for 7 was the big leap in graphics, FMVs. But also one cannot neglect is Sony wanted 7 to be one of its killer apps for their still relatively new Playstation. So it got a huge ad budget. I am not sure if Nintendo ever offered Squaresoft the same backing.

Datacenters should have water use limitations. Limit them to under a million gallons a day and they will have to innovate their cooling. Limit their power usage and Nvidia will have to make more efficient RTX GPUs for them.
