I made me a mixed tape on an old cassette and painted over the original print label. I had to adjust the playlist for time and I figured out the taping over the anti recording holes. It sounds like screaming in a tin can but it’s cute and mine.

My gray cat Puck has been making odd meows when I clip his nails. (Rather than just biting me, so yay) I realized what he’s doing. He’s a rough play and love biter so I started doing this thing I read about with puppies that play too hard. Make a yipping “ow” sound. And it mostly works 1/2

My backyard is now mostly violet, wild geraniums, and lemon balm. It did that through benign neglect. The milkweed patch I only shook the seed pods out from the last bit that took residence. We have our first monarch caterpillars! Last year I did plant a wildflower patch, and it reseeded itself!

I did it. I came full circle in the weird hobbies you pick up in your 30s. Just scavenged a crt out of my MILs basement and have been renting things from a hobby vhs shop near me. Behind the cat is the record player and tape deck I picked up cheap. Soon I’m going to plug my retro games into it.
