i know it's better for me, and she's happier that i'm no longer in the situation i was in, but i know she's struggling, god she's in a wheelchair now, and i can no longer step up as the eldest, as her first daughter to help.

i think it’s interesting the ways in which my only daughter (from being an only child for 16 years to an emotionally abusive mother) and my eldest daughter trauma (from taking on a lot of caretaking responsibilities to my baby sister from 16yo onwards) mesh. and by interesting, i mean fucked up.
