Think of the taxes they would save by having biweekly collection rather than weekly in the Summer. We’ve always had it this way in Hants and it’s been just fine…..

I was 21 when my now husband and I moved out to our first apartment a month prior. After that we got our cast aluminum bbq that we still have today. Hurricane Juan and White Juan tested our patience. We learned! Life was different back then, people were kind, patient and helped one another.

Trump has pissed off Mother Nature. A Hurricane heads towards the US desert states, Hurricanes and storms keep hitting Hawaii, a Nor’easter hammered the eastern seaboard……meanwhile a high pressure system protected us here Atlantic Canadians from her unforgiving vengeance. Sorry not sorry!

I’ve successfully kept the stray indoors for hours including earlier this morning. We’re going to try and keep her in as long as possible. We have a vet appointment. She hasn’t clawed at the door so that’s a good sign she’s getting more comfortable. Oven mitts make good protection from claws….😂😂

For the first time ever…… I have a wild plant growing inside my basement…..😂😂😂 According to my phone it’s a pondweed, an aquatic plant. I know I have water that’s naturally in my basement and often below the steps here where the concrete meets the soil.

Sleeping indoors is a sign of trust. While she still gets jumpy, hissy and annoyed, she’s slowly accepting of being indoors longer than 5 minutes.

We’ve been slowly letting the stray come in. She still gets bipolar and tries to lunge at me when I try and pet her so I know it’s only because she’s nervous and can smell other cats. If we get her used to being indoors rather than outdoors we’ll try and adopt her.

All of the Atlantic premiers need to get rid of the time change. It’s no longer needed and has been proven to be dangerous to our health and natural rhythm. Animals, especially those who migrate don’t have a calendar or a watch. They use their internal clock and environment for their daily life.

Is it just me or does it seem like the kids have a lot more in service days than we had as kids back in the 90’s. I noticed the school buses weren’t running this morning so I figured they had the day off. They just started school and have today off, plus they’ll have a day off next week.

I’ve noticed more and more birds are nesting in our yard as I’ve been seeing their nests. One in the sumac, the waxwing nest in the back by the mock orange and now this tiny one. You can see how the birds attached the nest over the branches. They’re so smart! Our yard is wildlife friendly!🥰🥰

When I walk I see neat things. This Eagle was chasing a Great blue heron. I’ve never seen that before! They went in circles higher and higher. Unfortunately because it was foggy they disappeared. The road was busy. The heron was squawking but you can’t hear it because of the traffic noise.
