A heart-felt THANK YOU to everyone who made the space with us at this years' Counterflows Festival 💞 We're proud to have the best team, staff and volunteers, the most respectful, engaged and enthusiastic audience, and a selection of artists we think are making some of the most vital work today.

It seems that extremely daft (and racist) Ron Morelli chap is back on the scene playing in the experimental-ish circuit. Quite a few gigs coming up. What's that all about?

Ok so a bit of news. After a bit of demand we've decided to do some one-off events that'll take place outside Counterflows Festival in April. The 1st of these welcomes two legends we love: Beijing's Yan Jun and Glasgow's Sue Tompkins on the 4th of March. counterflows.com/event/yan-ju...

Arming Israel. Bombing Yemen. Cutting aid. This government’s obsession with militarism is out of control — and it is the poorest people in the world paying the price. We are all human beings on one planet. Surely that is a good enough reason to try and build a world of peace.

My fave place in the world turned 17 today. Here's Habib's billboard artwork for the occasion. Gentrification, rising rent & costs is squeezing us harder than ever, so if you want us to keep going & remain independent grab a membership: www.cafeoto.co.uk/membership/

So the reason we did this is to push our membership scheme. Basically at this point it keeps us alive and we want to remain fully independent. Rent/overheads are crazy and it is always touch and go, despite being busier than ever. Sign up here: cafeoto.co.uk/membership/
