Implications: Encouraging time in nature could could be a simple yet effective way to help reduce inequalities in children's mental wellbeing 🌈 But local authorities need to ensure children have access to natural spaces, especially in disadvantaged areas 🌼

We used GPS & accelerometry data from 640 children to measure: • Time in nature 🌳⏱️ • Physical activity in nature 🏃‍♂️🍃 We linked this to 3 mental wellbeing outcomes 🧠 And examined moderation by SES & sex 🔍

Disadvantaged children are more likely to have mental health problems & less access to support 💔 Exposure to nature may benefit children's mental wellbeing and reduce inequalities 🌳 However, previous findings are mixed because studies typically measure 'nature near home' rather than direct use 🏡
