[He can’t help but chuckle as he addresses her comment with a dismissive wave.] It’s hardly a competition, Ingrid. I’m happy to receive a gift from you in general. The question is whether I’m worthy of such. But I digress. Take as much time as you need to get it.

[It’s so swift that he hardly feels it amidst his nerves getting the better of him. In fact, it takes him a few second after to realize that it’s already over. All the tension in his body melts as his more stoic expression melts into a very subtle smile.] Oh, that was all? Thank goodness…

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 25/12/2024

R-right! It’s only tradition! Nothing to get so nervous over… [Yet his legs still feel like concrete as he shuffles a little closer. He places his hands on her shoulders and lets out a deep sigh.] So then… should I just meet you halfway?

scabbard is still being worked on, but I’ll be sure to get it to you soon enough.

[He lets out a strong exhale, as if all of his reservations just left via his breath. He’s left with only a smile as his hand descends over his chest.] One gift down; many to go. But I’m very glad you like it. Your gift was probably one of my favorites to have commissioned. Unfortunately, the +

[Looks up at the mistletoe, then back down at Annette… only to veeeeeeery slowly take a step forward.]

You are actually a saint. [Popping them into his ears at the speed of light for the sake of his sanity.]

It’s desperate times like these where we must remember the wisdom of Professor Manuela. [Uncorking a bottle of red wine and throwing his head back.]

Please tell me that your gift for me was earplugs—

…Ingrid? Am I hallucinating, or does Sylvain have a nut button?

Aside from the sleek silver blade and the white leather on the grip, there was something unique tied to the handle. A small sapphire charm cut to resemble a wing inlaid in gold.]

He takes it in his hands, lays it out atop his open palms, and hands it to Ingrid with a kindly smile.] For perhaps my most devoted knight, and an even dearer friend, this is for you. Merry Sothismas, Ingrid! [Inside the box was a saber, a sidearm should she ever find herself without Lúin. +

Well then, if that’s the case, give me just a moment. [He turns to the small pile of presents he’s accumulated in his study and plucks what may be the largest of them all. It’s a tall black box that stands a little over knee-high to the Pegasus Knight, and it’s wrapped with an azure bow. +

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 24/12/2024

I certainly hope so. And to that end, perhaps a bit of a test run is in order. That is, if you don’t mind receiving your Sothismas gift a little early.

100

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 24/12/2024

I want to believe the presents I got for everyone are adequate, and yet… why do I get so nervous thinking about handing them out?

A light blush stains the apples of his cheeks as he sets his gaze on his beloved once more, and his forehead instinctively gravitates towards hers until they rest against one other. “What did I ever do to deserve an angel such as you, my sweetest Madeline?”

holds it up to the light at first, simply admiring how the colors reflect on the beads, and how the boar tusk reacts as well. And then, the final test. He slips the cord over his head and slips it down until it sits right on his neck. “It’s beautiful… and nothing short of a perfect fit.”

Hmmmmm… well I’m not too picky on the flavor of the cake. A simple vanilla cake will do. So long as it’s nice and soft on the inside, I’m sure I’ll love it.

You are literally my hero, Ashe 🥹 Perhaps this birthday is not lost yet.

Dedue, Mercedes… we need SOMEONE in the Blue Lions who can cook. I’m on my knees begging here.

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

[His gaze rapidly darts between the wretched cake and its all-too-happy chef. But how could he hurt such a kind soul? She’s doing this for him after all! So with some hesitance, he takes the plate and finds a table to eat it at.] Annette, before I eat this… what exactly did you put in it?

His lips are captured, his breath is taken away, everything around them fades into nothing, and he’s left with a gentle warmth that fills his chest. His lips linger on hers, just holding the kiss. Well, I suppose if there’s one day to be glad that my sense of taste has greatly diminished, it’s today.

000

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

No preference in terms of taste, considering that doesn’t really matter for me anymore. However… something that goes down a bit easier would be nice. Maybe a mead or a wine?

010

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

“She didn’t blow it up this time, but… well, I suppose the fact that she made /something/ is an improvement. Whether or not it’s edible remains to be seen.”

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

perhaps I could use a reminder of your love right about now. That is, if it’s not too selfish to ask for

And you know I’ll welcome every single one of those tokens with open arms, oh queen of my soul. [Speaking of open arms, his arms quickly wrap around her, hugging her at her waist to keep her right in his lap. He leans in close, letting the tip of his nose brush against hers.] In fact… +

000

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

Flayn, I appreciate you being as kind as you are, but some things must never come to pass. This is definitely one of them.

000

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

[His facial features very briefly scrunch up the moment he hears that audible crunch. Cake /definitely/ shouldn’t make that kind of noise. Especially one that he has to eat.] I-it’s quite alright, Annette! Really, I’m not very hungry at the moment!

000

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

“Oh, for the love of the goddess…” Pinching the bridge of his nose. “Felix? Don’t you think we’ve already experienced enough bloodshed for one lifetime?”

// Replies in the morning. It’s real eepy hours. Gnight!

010

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

A fine plan. If I’m to choose a locale for our libations, then… perhaps something more unassuming will do. Perhaps the garden just outside the dining hall will do? I highly doubt we’ll run into any trouble finding seats at this hour, and it should be easy to get some drinks from the dining hall.

110

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

O-oh! You… certainly did, Annette! Thank you very much! Perhaps I shall have a slice of it later, however. I am… simply not hungry at the moment. Yes, that’s it.

000

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

To hear you say that never ceases to amaze me. To be someone’s reason to rise… I never thought that could be the case, but it is my pleasure to be that for you. Furthermore, it’s my pleasure to be able to rise with you. Your love is already more than enough of a gift for me.

100

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd @fhirdiadspride.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

Oh? Well now I’m rather intrigued, but I won’t pry just yet. On the topic of dinner, however… hmmm. Perhaps something that pairs well with a wine, if we intend on drinking? My preference would be for something hearty like a steak, but I would be happy with anything you prepare. Especially on +
