I’m long retired as a university Professor. At the time of my retirement in 2010 it appeared higher education was changing to leaner and meaner practices. With the federal cuts it appears most if not all kind, friendly, institutions that fostered inquisitive youth are going and many won’t survive.

I'm sorry and wish I could help, I just checked my wife of almost 50 years (next August 17) into a memory care facility on Friday afternoon. Well he says he’s going to make Medicare better, I mostly hope he doesn’t make it worse, my wife has cancer, the in-clinic medicines and treatments are covered by Medicare Parts A & B, supplemented by my employer sponsored health insurance plan, but the take at home pills are Part D and thousands!

That extra year of pension helps! The shooting yesterday reminded me of how obsolete I am. I’m an old principal, both elementary and high school, my dissertation was on school security planning, well received, but shootings were never thought of in those days! I’m from Knoxville.
