Icon is of a bird and the Moon.
Sample: Doma Castle smells like a room nobody goes into. Sabin is thinking of the Queen’s chambers, locked up from the day he was born, but every castle must have one. By the time he was old enough to ask, it was just one of those things. We don’t go in there. It’s too sad. The end.

Moths have been at everything. Of course Doma isn’t like home — it’s a lot wetter, there’s bugs and mold and stuff.

Sample: The throne room is already full when Imri enters it, already teeming with an infectious excitement that she finds herself immune to. She already knows that this is simply a formality, an excuse to celebrate for a kingdom that desperately needs one. There is no opulence in this makeshift capital—none of the legend and lore that would actually add weight to the occasion—but there is a certain magic that buzzes in the air, a crackling energy as children and elderly alike chatter in the shambles of a would-be estate. Though she doesn’t find herself in much of an emotional state at all, she can at least appreciate the emotion in others; it has been far too long, she knows, since these citizens had something even akin to hope t

Sample: Even among her father’s band of mercenaries, Byleth felt like an outsider. They treated her with fondness—she was the boss’s kid, after all—but forming bonds was difficult. Tristan’s good-natured ribbing and Anton’s taciturn thoughtfulness—as their designated cook, he would save some grilled herring just for her—these were kindnesses that warmed Byleth’s heart. But that warmth never grew into a smile, and she could never seem to give back warmth in return.

When Anton’s neck was nearly sheared through by a marauder’s axe, his blank eyes staring at the sky, Byleth remained stoic even then. Not even a tear escaped her eyes. It was as though the sorrow that wrenched he

Writing sample: Only once had she allowed herself to experience the full enormity of grief. While on the solitary island, standing on that cliff, knowing Cid’s body lay rotting in the bed of the cottage beyond, Celes nearly let the feeling overtake her. She was stronger for it, more determined now.

What must it be like to carry that weight every day, the way Setzer had? To build a loved one’s airship into a shrine, a tomb, yet resurrect it to search the ruined world in hopes of finding friends? It spoke of an inner strength she’d never attributed to Setzer before now."
