David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Not surprising Ciccone didn’t win after being forced to race on a kid’s bike… 000
David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 05/10/2026It was a fantastic move by Ciccone at the final corner, deserved the title for that alone.. 010
David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Gonna be hard watching racing for the next year - “Pog’s being dropped on the climb! Wait, no, that’s not Pog..” All credit to McNulty though, he won the bands fair and square against everyone he was up against 000
David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 01/10/2026The main benefit of charging for the likes of Alpe d’Huez is that it would reduce the number of spectators and allow the cyclists some elbow room. Otherwise roadside viewing should be free. 050
David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Much reporting on single issues overlooks the significant “benefit of the doubt” the public will give a leader who convinces them he is passionate & sincerely aiming to do good things for them and the country. It’s clear people are already talking about the triple lock ending in a wider context 001
David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Maybe he didn’t even make a mistake, maybe he’s just a bit young to do 280km at world class pace? Riders bodies mature at a different pace 100
David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Exactly! What was wrong with “watch LK interview with AB” (except that it wasn’t an interview it was a quest to find a way to trick him into saying something she could seize upon to show her greatness. In vain of course, she’s not actually any good) 010
David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 27/09/2026LK as always only seeking headline grabbing gotchas and not actual information and insights 030
David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 25/09/2026It’s also perfectly possible that other charges will be added later, especially if further enquiry is needed or the charges are more complex. The charges already laid may just the easy ones to get him into the process. 220

David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 31/08/2026I had this too, logged in to HMRC self assessment - just the balancing payment and no POAs for 2026/27 but then found them as part of the MTD. Seems they have moved ongoing payments after Jan 27 out of Self Assessment and into MTD. You should be able to track it down if you blunder around the site 😬 000
David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 25/08/2026The statistical evidence that sociopaths and psychopaths are evident in far higher proportions amongst CEOs than the general public is increasingly supported by anecdotal evidence. An absence of empathy amongst billionaires is obvious. 010

David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 07/08/2026I think multiple reasons that amount to self selection. Motivation to go to a foreign country and earn money to save/send home, younger = fewer ties, less fear of adventure/things that could go wrong. Different character traits to the incumbents they land amongst. They tend to be fitter mind/body. 200

David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Having spent 18 years in Lincolnshire I’m sure this is correct. Immigrant agricultural manual labour tends to have higher levels of motivation and is met with suspicion and resentment for not doing things the “right” way, especially when they don’t go home out of season. 100
David Fryer @ffreddie23.bsky.social · 06/08/2026Is it perhaps the case that Lowe is parochial and partial? Or maybe he doesn’t actually subscribe to what he says he believes and just sees it as a route to power, garnering support from those who do? 050
