Their claim doesn't seem right. If it was bought this year it should be within warranty as a complete system (if purchased a prebuilt). And unless you bought some Dell or HP or a laptop, most system integrators would use off-the-shelf retail components that each have their own warranty.

I regret that American "parking lot queen" pick up truck culture has been successfully exported. Work trucks like the HiLux and the J70 Land Cruiser (the true king of reliability) are increasingly owned by people who have no intent of ever taking them off road or using them for work.

To be accurate, I believe that's a 2007 Land Cruiser J70, which has an even greater reputation for ruggedness and reliability due to being extremely basic and largely unchanged since 1984. Hiluxes are fancy pants city pick ups by comparison. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_...

Unfortunately, there are (white) people on this site who never caught on that that Stranger Than Heaven seems to be about immigrants trying to find a home in the face of racial discrimination, and ultimately an allegory for current attitudes in Japan and new laws from the Japanese government.

Nah. Despite having a foreign audience, RGG main games are "too Japanese" in terms of its cultural depictions for mainstream (particularly Western) audiences compared to most Japanese games intended from the outset to be worldwide games.

*Judgment was in-part about Japan's overwhelming aging population/alzheimer's and dementia crisis. Like A Dragon appeared to be a criticism of Shinzo Abe's populist conservative politics and conservative attitudes in Japan regarding immigrants, the homeless and sex workers.

Their handle was mombot, I believe. Even non-chuds took their word of "How Japan Really Is", and did not notice they typed in fluent colloquial English and was obsessed with American politics. To this day, real Japanese people there are annoyed by the foreigners pretending to be them.

Ronald D Moore and Brannon Braga said that during the production of Best of Both Worlds, it was unclear if Patrick Stewart was coming back for season 4. I remember reading that he was quite unhappy with the first 2 seasons, and "hadn't unpacked his suitcase" in case he decided to leave the series.

As I recall the statistics of the last election suggests it is virtually impossible for them to lose the next election, because the demographics shifted to younger voters who sure as shit won't vote right wing. Not exactly. In the episode explaining the origins of Optimum Prime (at least for this series), both Megatron and Optimus manage to unambiguously kill several characters. The writer intended it to be arguably more violent than the movie.

One of the writers of the movie alleged that he had warned Hasbro that killing off Prime was a bad idea. To Hasbro, these weren't characters, but advertisements for toys. As I recall, the reaction was so bad they had to dub in a line for the GIJoe movie saying the main character totally didn't die.

They've acknowledged recently that previous games had lost the serious tone of earlier titles, and previously have said Daito is not a heroic protagonist like Kiryu, so it's probable the game will be grittier in tone. What little we know of Makoto "Tojo" suggested he was not a nice man.

He's a fan of RGG games. I believe one of his match entrances was (unofficially) an RGG reference. A few years ago he was in some sort of free influencer DLC for Like A Dragon Ishin, and seemed to be the only who did it because he enjoyed the games.

I think - given the quick cameos of other Optimus Primes - they were going for more modern versions of those characters where things aren't as black and white. There's a few quick nods to the Skybound comics - Prime's human hand and his wrestling moves.

Hopefully it's just the power supply, which should be simple to test and cheap to replace. If so, just remember to not reuse the cables from your existing/broken power supply that's currently in your PC. Replace them the new ones that come with the new power supply.

Sounds more like the power supply died (which would be the least expensive thing to replace these days). I haven't heard of the Terrible GPU Connector bricking the entire PC. Just hope Jesse (or whomever helps him replace the PSU) remembers to not reuse the PSU cables.

(They're all trapped on Earth) Earthspark is very progressive, featuring gender neutral and trans characters. There's also an allusion in Megatron: he switched sides after befriending a human named Dot Malto (a friend of Dorothy, if you will), and has an old married couple dynamic with Optimus.

As someone who spent many hours wandering around Kamurocho in Yakuza (the city changing over the decades arguably making it a character), and many players citing it as feeling like "your hometown" in a video game, I think more games need to lean into what RGG did so players feel a connection.
