The Trump Effect: Today I wondered if it was time for the 26-27 Covid vax (not yet). The FDA site came up, but my 1st reaction was to question whether it was accurate info or weirdo RFK jr trash talk. I kept looking to other sources to verify. Horrifying to be in doubt because wackos in charge.

I went to our small County Fair last week. A big part of it is the exhibition of local talent: kids' art and writing, baking, quilts, woodworking, photos, bees. 4H kids bring their animals, dance schools do their thing onstage. I'm sure we had more people here than T's party flop. Woo-hoo! Fun!

It is time to take the protests to the district offices of the vacationing R reps. In 2017 Daryl Issa's constituents showed up at his Vista office at least weekly to protest. It worked. He didn't run again in that district, but moved 1 district east. His new district doesn't seem to like him either.

Trump wanted to shoot live fire over the I-5 freeway as part of Camp Pendleton's 250th b'day celebration. Yesterday CP said that wasn't happening. Today the WH says it is; they wanted Cal Trans to post “Overhead fire in progress” signs along the I-5. CA has closed I-5 for 4 hours. Huge traffic prob.

Early Saturday morning, after the state inquired once again for details, the federal government informed the state that live fire activities have now been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today.

Due to extreme life safety risk and distraction to drivers, including sudden unexpected and loud explosions, a section of I-5 will be closed for a period on Saturday, October 18. This decision comes at the recommendation of traffic safety experts at the California Highway Patrol.

I-5 is Southern California’s economic backbone, supporting over 80,000 travelers and moving $94 million in freight everyday between San Diego and Orange Counties. Just north of Oceanside, more than 65,000 vehicles cross county lines daily — half those trips for work. That’s $8.2 million lost in daily visitor spending alone. Thousands of truck shipments count on uninterrupted access.

Because of the federal government’s plans, drivers should expect delays on Interstate 5 and other state routes throughout Southern California before, during and after the event. Before traveling through the region, drivers are encouraged to visit quickmap.dot.ca.gov for real-time traffic information.

Interesting choice of dates for the Marine's year long "250th Birthday" at Camp Pendleton: Oct. 18! Vance & Petey will be there-shocker. The public is invited to party on Pendleton's Del Mar Beach. There was talk of shooting howitzers over I-5, but that was nixed. I call "distraction & diversion."

The Nobel Peace Prize winner will be announced on Fri., Oct. 10 @11:00 CEST. That's 5 am at the WH. Expect a massive raging shit fit. Thousands of people showed up in Sacramento, CA today (~3500 by noon and more arriving all the time). While the body count is uplifting, it's the multitude of signs that got me. People put their hearts and souls on those signs
