Massive shout-out to the amazing creatives of Sheffield; I visited Red Brick market today and was sooo impressed!! Over a hundred creators and not one hint of AI 💙 You're doing the world proud, I LOVE this city!! 🐟🐟🐟 #art #sheffield #smallbusiness #localartist #redbrickmarket #pigeon #fish #stickers

Will be off-grid for a week from tonight, hopefully making loads of art by the riverside <3

It is absolutely MAD to think that after all these years, this book is still completely relevant to today's societal issues; all the problems/lessons being highlighted here carry just the same amount of weight. I did not understand it as a child but I certainly do now #booksky #blackbeauty

20 years later and this piece of art is still being used! Where are they getting it from though? I couldn't even find it on my old DeviantArt account XD

*dreaming* I would love to create a "snail mail" club on my Ko-fi page where I send real pieces of art and other stuff to members. Just things like stickers, small prints and letters maybe... ⛅🌧️🌷

Fish stockists in the UK are now using AI to "enhance" the photos of the fish and are basically turning them into hideous monsters 😱🤢

A screenshot of a website product page for live Celestial Pearl Danio fish, using an AI enhanced photograph and therefore altering the anatomy of the fish very poorly. The screenshot shows the fish photo, name, size, price, quantity and an Add to Cart button.

Happy Pride month! ^v^ Here is one of my fav fish species which is just PERFECT for pride; the Rainbow Shiner! (Hydrophlox chrosomus) 🌈🏳️‍🌈🐟 For me, this is the ultimate trans pride fish with its amazing pink and blue spawning colours!! A native of North America, it prefers cooler temperatures ❄️

A bittersweet moment for me as this Yellowhammer original has now sold. It's going all the way to South Korea along with some stickers! I will miss this painting because even though the perspective is strange, it taught me that I -could- paint. I haven't completed a painting since but I'm close!

A photograph of a framed painting and a couple of sticker packs laid out on a wooden living room floor. The frame of the painting is a soft meadow green and the painting itself is of a Yellowhammer perched on a hawthorn hedge with crop fields in the background. There is a sunset sky with pink and purple clouds.
The sticker packs display the words "Fish stickers" and "Pokemon stickers".

While I was away on holiday, I visited the most amazing book shop I've ever been to!! www.highlandbookshop.com They even sold handmade stickers and bookmarks made by real British artists. Here are some that I bought (and subsequently left at the place I stayed at so had to get them posted back!!)

Everyone who loves stickers should have the pleasure of owning a re-usable sticker collecting book!! It is so lovely and mindful to sit and place stickers around a page.

Would you believe me if I told you these gorgeous fish are North American temperate/coldwater species? They are also one of VERY few we are allowed to keep in this country ;V; I think North America has some of the best fish in the entire world personally!

Hey everyone, I'm Feryste (pronounced fur-East), an artist, tech worker and licensed bird ringer. I have a strong passion for birds and fish! I also have two homes - one on land with internet and one on water without. This is by design, I don't use a smartphone either! Apologies for my scarcity 🤍
