Weird to think that I've spent my entire life never fursuiting on a boat, and now I've been on 4 boats (and a train on a floating bridge) in suit recently 🤔

Weird to think that it's already been a year since I cast off on a journey from one coast to the other. It's certainly been a wild ride of ups and downs since the move, but hey that's how you write new stories instead of dwelling on past ones and that's the sort of thing I really, *really* needed.

Have tried to get glasses for my fursuit before, but my head's nose bridge has always been too wide. Finally bit the bullet and banged out a pair in fusion 360 that I'm pretty happy with (after a few prototypes!)

A chat with myself. #furry #doodle #catharsis

Human me sitting at the edge of something. A blurred black figure appears in the back.

"There you are. Where have you been. Is everything alright?"

"Yes. Sorta. Somewhat."

"You can evade as much as you want but you know that I know."

"Because you're me?"

"Because I'm you".

Piscis stands next to me.

"No, you're not..."

Piscis smuggly points to himself.

"Oh please~ Haven't you always described me as you, but fluffy." ?

"A better me. That was always implied."

"A better you is still you."

"I'm not so sure about that anymore..."

"And why is that?"

"You're proactive and social. Your giggle is warm and comforting. You're not afraid to go out of your comfort zone. You're asserive and reliable... You're everything that I'm not."

My PoV shows tears falling to my knees.

Piscis remains staring at me with a sigh then kneels next to me.

"I'm also greedy, unwholesomely jealous and even though we flirt with sloth, we know it's pride that will be our downfall."

"..."

"I carry your flaws too. I wouldn't be relatable if I were too perfect now, would I ? - Because beneath this ivory white fur, begind the flirty double fanged smug, hiding at the back of the mighty roar and glowy honey yellow eyes, under everything that makes me me, the reason for my very existence... it is because"

"I'm you"
"You're me"

both say "but fluffy"

I crack a smile.

Piscis asks "So, why don't you say out loud what you need to say, then?"

I take my glasses and stare upwards.

"I'm afraid I won't ever be what you are because I'm too afraid to change. I don't think I'm a good enough friend to those who really matter to me. I want to improve myself, as a person and as an artist but I don't know if I'm doing what I need to get better at all. I want to hold the reigns of my life but I feel I'm still far from that point."

Piscis hugs me from above.

"How do you fell?"

"The same."

"But different?"

"A little."

Piscis sits at the edge wearing my glasses.

Have been quite a bit busy lately (work and other big things soon!) but decided it'd be fun to add face and eyetracking onto my Index using a slightly modified version of Physics-Dude's design (on github) for an EyeTrackVR + Project Babble dongle. Could've done a better 3d print job but it works ok!

I think I've discovered what Tetsuya Nomura must've felt like while cooking up with the character outfits for Kingdom Hearts 2. It's not because I have come up with some sort of iconic fit but because I've been adding excessive belts/straps to an article of clothing.

Wellp as if today wasn't already bad enough, my water heater decided to kick the bucket. Sucks not having hot water til it can be replaced but looking at it, I'm just thankful and amazed that it hadn't started an electrical fire, so that's cool I guess (figuratively and literally).

Had originally snagged a sewing machine to work on a bodysuit and was originally a bit worried about how much use I'd get outside of that. Haven't yet gotten to sewing the actual suit and I feel like I've already justified the cost from patching up random clothes. Fun to learn new skills!!! ^^
