Circumstance happened and I ended up with a Korg Prologue today after a guy wanted to trade it for my old MIDI keyboard...

Yeah I've actually had it for sale for a while! But in no rush to get rid of it hahah. Just slowly downsizing.

Today with the lovely 2004 Dave Smith Poly Evolver. One of the only 'true hybrid' synthesizers with real analog oscillators and digital wavetables too, all run into an analog filter. The real magic is its incredibly complex sequencer! I've considered parting with it, but I still love it.

The EXACT date is speculated and though many sources say it was July 1826 or 1827 apparently there is some evidence it was Autumn 1826 and the national archives say 1826. But no firm date. Regardless it has been 200 years!

This is a song I started last year after my brother died. I've never been able to finish it, but it's called Organs. It features all the instruments both him (organ, upright bass, piano) and I (oboe, bassoon, synthesizer) played. It's simple. It's unmixed. It's unfinished. But it's from the heart.

My biggest weight loss validation was getting ID'd at the bar and he didn't think it was me. He made me smile to match my dimples to the picture. I told him I lost 50 lbs and he said "Congratulations."

Shoutout to MFF 2022 where I had no winter fashion sense and NO pants other than jeans and dressed like a midwestern dad in jeans. (I finally have cooler pants now)

This bar has been doing this since 2015 and it caused a local stir since you take the 99 proof shot, then inhale the burnt alcohol vapors through a straw, and college students were doing a bunch of them back to back and blacking out.

Man the worst part of losing 50 lbs is that your wrinkles become WAY more visible. The skin becomes less tight and creases/wrinkles become more visible. Unfortunately it makes me look much older in the process xvx wish there was a way to rid of them.

It rained SO much in Nebraska today that it actually broke our record for most rainfall in a single day, EVER. The flash flooding was insane. 6 inches of rain in a day!
