Today, Oct. 1, your fare may be lower if you drive aboard. It's the first day without our 35% peak-season surcharge for full-fare drivers & vehicles. The surcharge applies May 1-Sept. 30. Fares are set by the Washington State Transportation Commission.

#Edmonds/#Kingston service will be suspended overnight Oct. 6-7 for @bnsfrailway.bsky.social track repairs in Edmonds. The railroad crossing will close from 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, blocking safe access to our ferry terminal.

July was our busiest month since August 2019 with 2,317,476 riders. That tops our previous post-pandemic high of 2,303,871 in July 2025. And August is off to a strong start with 93,329 riders on Saturday, Aug. 1, our fourth 90K+ rider day this summer. Thanks for riding with us!

We're now in the heart of our busy season. On Saturday, July 18, we welcomed 98,174 riders, our highest single-day ridership since 2019. Our previous post-pandemic high was 95,361 on July 26, 2025. There's a lot of summer left so more 90K+ days are likely. Thanks for riding with us!

If you’re driving through our Vashon or Fauntleroy terminals early next week, expect delays as we repair pavement on the docks. Crews will be at Vashon terminal on 7/20 & Fauntleroy on 7/21. Work will start at 7a-3p. both days. Vehicles will be directed around the work areas

Our Vashon Island ferries will be JAM PACKED this weekend. The community’s berry fun, annual Strawberry Festival is happening, and it brings thousands of visitors. For a sweet ride, we recommend festivalgoers walk on at Fauntleroy/Southworth/Point Defiance if they can.
