Upon hearing about a wizard who could help, Blodwyn leaves the farm to find them. Here, he has managed to find a cave to hide in while it rains, unsure if he would melt. He smacks his full belly, having found plenty of food on the way...the land is strangely abundant. Little does he know an ogre lives in the cave and is observing the pumpkin-sized slime....

Blodwyn stays with the farmers for a bit. He even plays a board game with them, one where cactuses (cacti?) represent the players moving about a desert. He has discovered he can roll the dice inside his body, and they come out as clean as a whistle if he wills it. Though the husband thinks it strange, the wife knows how important it is for him to master his new form.

Blodwyn is sitting homeless on the street, holding his head, trying to cope with how his life has been going. After upsetting someone online, a smear campaign alleging he did something unspeakable has resulted in him being slandered, cancelled, doxxed, evicted, and made homeless. Now, a human approaches, sounding threatening. Blodwyn tries to say he's innocent, but the human levels a pistol at him. The police arrive, but they are too late. Some time later, he awakens as a thimble-sized blob of goo looking up at an apple. He can't tell if the obvious isekai is worse than what he'd been through.

Hungry, Blodwyn devoured the apple, quickly adding mass and giving him a bit of a belly. While he ate, he discovered an ancient bronze ring buried in the soil nearby. After putting it on, the owners of the apple tree, farmers, found him. Now, he pays for eating the apple by helping them with their quilt. Weilding a seam ripper like a shovel, he has reached the final stitch, while nearby sits the classic miniature tomato pin cushion. He muses that it's a small price to pay for food, but it's still a bit of a workout.
