iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I'm Jane Doe from Cornell University. I have been since I was 3. If her name comes out? It's my name. She is me.

I've been thinking on it and one of the worst feelings is when you're much more invested in any kind of relationship than the other participant. It is such a deeply hurtful thing to realize you put far more care than someone else and often leaves a wound on your self worth.

Apparently a lot of people on the ND spectrum really like AITAH stories because they help define societal expectations and establish the reasoning behind social norms. I can totally see that but I think I'm just there because it's nice to hear about drama completely removed from my own life.

I would use the hell out of it because I adore older folks and I would love to get cooking and gardening lessons from someone with lots of experience. It would be a great way to learn about different cultures and the lives of interesting people too.

I think there should be an app called OnlyGrands that connects people with lonely elders who could use company and maybe basic task help. It would work great for loneliness on all sides, introducing and socializing kids and pets, and maybe even help elders get extra income if they can provide meals.

Just a thought but being a rapist and/or pedophile should ruin the lives of the perpetrators, not the victims. If you commit a violent sexual crime (and all sexual assault should be considered violent) you should live a lifetime of punishment.

I'm watching a Netflix #kdrama about potatoes of all things and the first episode had me crying laughing. It's called The Potato Lab and it's hilarious 😂

I messaged the zoo on FB to learn their names. The domestic ferrets are Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. The BFFs are Anna and Survivor. They're all female.

The Elmwood Park Zoo has Black-Footed Ferrets!!!

Sent another email to support to try and get the issue with my main feed being nothing but a buffering symbol resolved. Here's hoping I can have a fully functional account again.

My local Costco really let me down with their cheese selection after I saw a few online rundowns of the seasonal cheese rotation. I did manage to snag a giant thing of butterkase that I plan to stuff into some baked sweet potatoes but I was hoping to get a wedge of muenster. Oh well.

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

I found out my partner thinks foodie cheese pulls are messy and excessive. I will continue to love him despite this horrifying development.

Until my main page is restored, Bluesky is pretty dead for me. It's a huge bummer because I really enjoyed this app but without seeing skeets, there's not really a point.

Y'all, the #FireEmblem Fortune's Weave character designs go so hard and are beautifully diverse. I'm so happy for the broad spectrum of representation and look forward to seeing the cosplays and how the non-toxic part of the fandom regards certain characters.

Wait... Cid Highwind from #FinalFantasyVII is actually Daddy material? Like, the whole time? This is quite the revelation.

I found out the English voice actress for Nico Robin also played Olivier Armstrong and I'm in awe of how much serving is being done with just two characters.

When will my Bluesky front page come back from the war?

This is where my Bluesky front page would go IF I HAD ONE.

Instead, it's just a blank page with a lil buffering symbol spinning fruitlessly in the center.

011

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Still no front page feed for my Bluesky account. Just a buffering symbol. I'm not sure if this is a gift or a curse.

I love my cat but Bella has a bad habit of getting directly underfoot whenever I need to move with purpose. This morning I nearly kicked her out of the way because she decided to meander in my path just as my coffee hit and I was sprinting to the bathroom.

I sat through the God of Thunder episode of #Bleach and just... ugh. That was truly disappointing and unsettling.

New #prideandprejudice edition I got through a Kickstarter. I absolutely adore this copy. It's so gorgeous.

A beautiful edition of Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. The cover is displayed with art of Mr Darcy and Lizzie looking into each other's eyes as Darcy cups Lizzie's cheek while his other arm is wrapped around her while she holds onto him. They are standing in a field lit by dawn with the title is displayed in gold lettering at the lower part of the image while a blue ribbon border encircled the main image.

Lizzie has long wavy brown hair that is half-up in a ribbon wearing a cream dress with a blue bodice. Darcy is wearing a slate coat with a golden waistcoat and white cravat as well as gray trousers and brown riding boots. His hair is dark brown and goes to the name of his neck, looking elegantly windblown. He stands a good head taller than Lizzie.

Bluesky main feed has been nothing but a buffering symbol for days.

It's just so weird how the world keeps going even though everything feels like it should stop and take a long moment to breathe and recover. I feel so stuck in my grief and I know I'm not alone but we have to keep moving and that seems so wrong.

I was heartbroken already to lose Dolly but I'm shattered to have to say goodbye to Tim Curry too. I'll eventually be okay again but right now I'm exhausted and sad.

It's amazing how much your heart can break over a person you've never met.

072

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Just about every friend I have has been messaging me to check in on how I'm doing because they all know how special Dolly is to me. I appreciate it a lot.

030

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

If you need a way to process your grief and do something to honor Dolly Parton, think about doing something with books. It could be donating to The Imagination Library, volunteering at your local library, supporting literary and educational efforts, or even just picking up a book to read.

073

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

I'm devastated by the profound loss that the world is experiencing with the passing of Dolly Parton. But I take comfort knowing she's with her beloved husband and she would want us to smile through the tears and be kind to each other. Thank you, Dolly, for everything. We'll always love you.

What an incredible and wonderful thing to bond over. I know basically nothing about the series but it looks wild and I'm intrigued.

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

The fact that the biggest moments in healing from trauma are often prompted by the smallest things is really weird.

My partner is filling me in on discourse about the latest Warframe feature, a text adventure modeled like dnd, and it's truly upsetting how many people are so confidently media illiterate. Please bring back critical thinking, my God.

020

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

I hope you love it as much as I do!

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

I'm caught up on what's out of The Spellshop series by Sarah Beth Durst and now I'm in a massive book hangover. I've rarely encountered a fictional world I want to live in so badly.

130

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

It's really upsetting and disheartening to have people you genuinely respect and care about go to bat for slop. People who swear up and down they don't want to use it but immediately follow up with "but". As if they're an exception because they have "better intentions".

130

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

We've all had at least one typo, lol.

Unless their doctor thinks that Donald Trump and RFK Jr. know better than scientists.* It blows my mind that there are healthcare providers that are still MAGA after all this bullshit.

I honestly recommend these types of games to #romancenovel fans who don't take issue with anime style graphics. It's very much like playing through a choose your own romantic adventure system but you only have to pay once and you get multiple options with multiple endings.

The French and other robust cultures had some interesting suggestions

020

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES ISN'T OUT YET?! I was intending to binge the whole thing in one go!!!

010

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

I'm very tired but apparently not too tired as the moment someone was having a mental health crisis my training kicked in and I activated like a sleeper agent. I can imagine that once the adrenaline wears off I'm going to be even more tired but I just hope I was able to help.

000

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

How do you protect your energy and keep yourself from absorbing what's around you?

010

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

I'm exhausted from a sleepless and sore night, restless and hormonal, and completely disgusted by anything that isn't coffee due to a bout of major food aversion. I am so weak and in significant pain that I'm barely able to manage with meds. It's fucking miserable.

010

Solei @ferretoftheforest.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Gotta love when my body decides to remind me I'm a #chronicallyill baddie who has to essentially go to battle with my own brain and body due to bullshit I can't control. Sending love and solidarity to all the warriors out there.
