Just realized I give all my scalie characters nipples... is this controversial? I like drawing them but I can see why some folks would be against nips as a feature of scalie character designs 😧

I like receiving bonus points from pedants (has happened with hyena nose lmao) but dgaf about detail accuracy in other people's art. It's like, they're cartoon animal people, man. Like a lot of fandom problems it feels like a "you're 14 and think your opinion is a moral prescription" thing

My reading of Piranesi was that the House rejected efforts to extract meaning/knowledge and that the Other might have been entirely wrong about its nature? It was ambiguous enough to satisfy me, but I could see stuff like having the method of entry/exit being explained tarnishing the mystique.

it never ever seems to go far enough to fix the supply shortfall... we've seen in places like Auckland and Houston that if zoning is loosened enough, developers will overbuild to the point that there's a price correction but govt policy here is basically "prices stay up at all costs" so no dice yet

imo there's a social-media-driven self-optimization impulse in the culture that latches on to trends semi-randomly and then gets amplified by marketing constantly chasing trends for consumer $... the current fixation is "everyone needs to be a looksmaxxing bodybuilder" and that means Tracking Macros
